You can always charter your own plane, anywhere from $2500 dollars per hour of flight for a Lear 24, and well the sky is the limit.

Other than that, there is no way to avoid this.

Well, what are the options? What would you think if someone indeed did smuggle on some chemicals to make a bomb?

People better just get used to the fact that delays are going to be a reality at airports for decades to come.

The only other choice you have is to not fly.

I appreciate the fact that added security measures are going to make our flights safer. What's 3, 4, 10 hours "inconvenience" when your plane is blown up and you're scattered all over some farm field?

I'm so sick of people complaining about their precious time being "wasted" at airport security checks.

Flying is not fun anymore. It's a chore and a hassle.

The new rule about not being able to take your own beverages -- what the h ell is that all about?? You don't get much of anything anymore on flights so taking your own food and drinks makes sense -- at least to me.

Lower ticket prices be damned -- I will pay more -- I want a meal and some decent snacks and good beverage service.

Oh yeah -- about the long long waits at airports now -- it makes driving FASTER to a lot of locations if you add up all the delays at both ends coming and going. I just HATE sitting in planes on the tarmac waiting to take off or circling overhead waiting to land.

Okay, just like the guy who posted the Muslim question...

If you feel that your inconvenience is more important than thousands of lives, here's some news.

It's not!

Get over it. Do you see everyone around you?! Yes, they're going through the same thing as you are. And I'm sure they aren't on their laptop complaining about it.

If you have a problem with long lines, then go take a train or some other mode of transportation other than the safest one around.

its better than dying, if u dont want to have a safe flight then take the bus, i would not mind waiting in line for hours, its better than rushing thru security and then boarding your plane with a terrorists, girl get over it, plus your actually living history right now!!!! you wanna know why because someday they might make a movie about our unpeaceful world and you can tell grand kids o yeah i remember those days when we had to wait 4hrs just to get on a plane. So can i have 10 points now my answer is better than everyone elses :o)'

Maybe we need two lines at the airport. One for security screened people, and one for people that are not screened, with two separate planes. Then we will see which line is the longest

Would you rather have long lines and delays at the airport or be blown to peices? Personly i would have long lines and delay. They let you take a laptop? I am surprised. You can't carry water because the bombs the terrorists were going to use were liquid so you cant carry it.

no one should be upset. thank god for airport security. i think you would feel differently about the long lines if the terrorists had not been discovered beforehand, if you were on one of the planes they were on and exploded in mid air. never mind, you wouldn't be here to complain.

Gee, a long wait and a lot of security checkpoints or being blown to bits at thirty-thousand feet.

Quit whining, play some solitaire and get a drink when you get on board.

Grow up and deal with it... This is just a fact of life in today's world. If something happened and a plane was blown up I am sure you would be complaining that they didn't do enough to stop it
