Let's start with the Revolutionary War, known as the war for American Independence. Wait, read a little history...the French (all 7 ships) arrived only 3 weeks before Gen. Cornwallis surrounded To Gen. Washington and took credit even though they had promised to join the war 3 years earlier....typical French battle plan!

Then we (meaning colonial Americans, including my ancestors) again defeated the British Empire during the War of 1812. Throw in the Spanish-American War, the defeat of Mexico (Maximilian and Isabella), and yes the Indian Plains War. Obviously WWI and WWII and the Korean War (Police action - the UN's name) I put WWI& II and Korea the US in the win column because without the industrial might, production of war equipment...including the Atomic Bomb...the "bad guys" might still have the lands they the`conqured. And if you haven't figured it out, America led a "larger group" to victory because it was called a World War.

And let's conclude with American led coalition that obliterated the million man Iraqi army that parked their Republican guard tanks next to Muslim holy sites, hospitals, schools civilian population centers.

Another student who went to a government school and failed to pick up a history book. Let me see, does the War of 1812 ring any bells? And there was the good old War with Mexico in the 1840's. Oh yes, lets not leave out the Spanish-American war, somewhere around 1894 or so. Teddy Roosevelt, San Juan Hill, Rough riders, ring any bells? I know that was a little before your time, that's why it's called History.

Well Vietnam wasn't a war. It was a police action.

It also really depends on what you mean by win.

Pretty much every war (war on drugs included) after the American revolution, was not about freedom, winning or protection, but about money.

War is the best way to generate profits. Invest in arms and weapons, sell to both sides, if your involved use it to increase the value of your dollar...It is very rare that a standing army ever fights for anything but money.

Only citizens militias.

One war we won that always gets over looked is the Cold War. We brought the Russians to their knees and for decades protected a continent of ungrateful Europeans from being over run and having the 'Hammer and Sickle' fly above there capitals. By the way we didn't loss in Vietnam, sorry libs.

I think onl the mexican american war and spanish war. Americans would have gotten their bums kicked if they didnt have the french in the revolution and Japan was because germany was losing against allies. (No support for the japs). Vietnam was a loss so is afghanistan, iraq and soon by proxy, lebanon. Everyone considers the US a superpower because of its economy and nukes.

Oh yeah, and the cheap americans massacred the native americans early in history.

WWII against Japan...who helped us win that one?, Mexico during Mexican American War, Spain during Spanish American War, Korean War...95% American Troops. Vietnam was a military victory, but a political loss. Afghanistan is a victory. American Revolution...France only played a small part in helping us.
