Pyloric stenosis is a disease of both males and females. It is four times more likely to occur in males. It is most often found in Caucasian infants. It can be very dangerous for the infant, as the severe, and often projectile vomiting can lead to dehydration very rapidly. Some infants can be treated with medication for the problem and others will need surgery.

pyloric stenosis does not only affect males, it affects every child male/female. My daughter had it when he was born, it could be something out grown, ( like my daughter did), or it could be controlled by medications such as reglan. If the child is on formula, try changing the formula to a soy based formula, it helped my daughter. Her doctor has changed her formula 5 different times, until this last one.
