Hey, you asked the question. Every time I visit the UK I hear people talking about the war and singing racist songs. It's not everyone, but enough to find it alarming. I find the UK to be a very hateful place. I lived in the North of South Africa, the right wing racist capital during apartheid, and I think that the UK is more of a hateful place than when I was living there. Whenever I meet Germans, they may be quite sombre, but I have never talked about the war with a German person other than when a brit initiated once. It's the Brits that need to get over the war, not the Germans.

Why are Germans such tossers? Because brits, like you, project their own content onto these people just as they did, and still do, in colonialism times.

Read my friend. Owusu-Bempa, Bulhan, Sartre, Fanon, Szasz. Educate yourself and you may become a more knowledgable, friendly person

I've been to Germany three times, and I never found them to be tossers at all. In the words of actor Tim healy, in "Auf Wiedersehen Pet": They're just a canny (good) bunch of lads like us"! They may display traits of stand-offishness, but that's just the way they are. If it hadn't been for the Germans, where would we have got "Bangers 'n mash", schnapps, lager, etc from? As for phantaszjia claiming that we brits are racist: all I've got to say to you is, if you hate us, then why don't you p*** off back to South Africa. It's supposed to be oh-so nice since the end of apartheid, but Jo'burg has one of the world's highest crime rates now, and whites are almost living in fear of their lives. So much for integration. Thabo mbeki has made a right pig's-ear of running the country.(What else would you expect from an ex-commie?) He's not a patch on Nelson Mandela.

F*ck off tossbag you haven't got the faintest clue about the "war stuff", have you ever been there? My family suffered in the years after the war due to the Iron Curtain and living in the east under russian rule. It wasn't the people that caused the war just a handful of Genocidal despotic fuckwits. Germany are one of our best allies now and are the nation that is most closely related to English in terms of ancestry.
Let me guess, you're about 15-16 years old you've got a racist cab-driver for a father, you never did well at school, and you've never stepped foot into another country. Sad, sad, sad.

Its a culture thing. They don't know any different, they don't realise what they are doing is rude or arrogant.
I had a German friend, she was alright as a person, but queue jumped all the time because 'in Germany we never queue'.
I also worked for a company in the UK who's main company was German, they were arrogant. but again, its just in thier nature.

you can't generalise germans and say they're all tossers... when you get to know different people at an individual levels you will find that some of them are actually not what you THOUGHT they were and that they are alright..

i am sure they would love to get over it, but it is tossers like you who keep bringing it up, also considering this generation has nothing to do with it, and we aren't proud of it, so why don't you give it a rest.
