First things first before you worry about anything :)
I'm assuming that you haven't gone to the doctor in the first place because you are worried that someone will find out right? don't worry! go to the doctor and you can just tell the doctor that you want doctor patient confidentiality and none of this will go to anyone except you and the doc :)
I recommend you go to the doctor at the earliest possible and if you are told that you got to make an appointment 2 days down the road then go to a clinic the doctors there are bound by the same rule and will offer you the same privacy .. find out the reason that you are bleeding first! why? so you can narrow down whatever else can go wrong! there are a number of things besides pregnancy that cause bleeding
Once you have ruled out everything down to pregnancy don't panic it's alright! talk to the doctor and have the doctor recommend you to another physician who specializes in pregnancy .. he/she will give you all the information you need to know about pregnancy and even a counsellor who will be able to speak to your parents with you if it comes down to it
Wish you the best in everything :)

I'd say yes, take a test, if it says that you are not pregnant go and see your doctor and tell him/her what's going on. Although I'd actually suggest seeing your doctor either way. And if you do not wish to pay for the test yourself then your doctor can test your urine for free while you're visiting.

take it in the morning, your first pee has the most hormone in it that the test uses to detect pregnancy, but if you are a week late you could probably use it any time of the day.
