I experience guidance based upon years of practicing the presence; it will show itself slightly differently to different people, but it is still the same, for there is but one Source.

For me, it is very subtle, but the more I listen for it, the more I can hear it. It has no comparison to anything ever felt or heard before. There is no judgment, only love.

Ask for guidance from the 'divine', get quiet, ease into a meditative state and wait. I don't linger long there because most times the answer comes later, while I'm tending to the mundane chores of life.

Pray and ask God for guidance. You have to work at it, I mean, live the life that God would want you to do. You do not pray to your Father God, and then go rent Porn videos. This has to be an earnest effort in you heart, if you are really sincere about this. You can experience a really uplifting life, loving and caring. Go to church.

A good question...finally...

You experience it by research and supplicating to God. You first have to know that there is a God by pondering over creation of God. Once you understand and finally get to know God. You have to understand that God sends down messengers so they can explain to us about our Lord. Then you have to ask God to guide you. This means telling God I want to submit to your will not mine. So what I would say is research different religions and study the text. As your going through the process continously, sincerely ask God for guidance. No one can convert you to a religion and it is up to God to guide. I am Muslim so you can start researching my religion if you want.

We Muslims ask for guidance more than ~25 times a day. It is required.

By meditating on my heart, to discover what's best for me. The heart and the instinct have never steered me wrong. It's the times where I didn't trust myself, that imperfect decisions were made.
