If you've ever lived in India or just been there, you'll find a new language which is a poor mix match of hindi (the most widely spoken language in india) and english. A good example is 'yeh dil mange more', pepsi's slogan in india. The first three words, 'yeh dil mange' are taken from hindi and literally translates into 'the heart asks' and 'more', taken from english. The whole sentance translates into 'the heart asks for more'. This is not the only one, though, for there are others like 'mouth ko kare good use' for example. So what d'you think, cool, or stupid. I think it's stupid!

Yeh dil maange more translates to 'this heart wants more' not 'the heart asks for more'. This may sound funny to you but makes perfect sense to someone who grew up speaking both the languages. People who are bilingual often speak like that. Its perfectly natural. Read some other answers.
So its definitely not "stupid". And surely it is "cool" to be bilingual! In the professional world you can stick to one or the other language but in the real world the lingoblend is mahacool ;)

Cool. In India especially in cosmopolitan city like Mambai so many times ordinary people do not understand each others languages. So while communicating they use combination of languages such as Hindi-English, Marathi-English, Gujarati-English etc. First important aspect of language is to communicate. Advertisement is for mass people.

I don't think it's stupid. I do it alot of times. Yeh dil maange more is just a sentence but I do it with verbs ending the hindi words with ing. Like for eg, this fruit is sadofying. Trans: This fruit is rotting. LOL! It makes me and my family laugh.
We even used it in colleges like, "he's trying to pataofy you". Trans: He's trying to get your interest.
It might sound stupid sometimes but it's good for a laugh. I definitely wouldn't speak that way with collegues or with elders, just friends.

There's also Tanglish (a mixture of the S. Indian language Tamil and English) for example, "Intha necklace-ke yenna price-inga?" which is translated into "What is the price of this necklace?" It's odd since each is a different language, and if the media is using it too, people who are learning their mother tongue won't learn it properly, and eventually the language gets evolved.

why you think it is stupid? they have 2 official languages-Hindi and English and this is natural that in conversational language people use to mix them. What about that Pepsi slogan, i think they did it intentionally, to emphasize national orientation of the advertising company.
