I remember when I was young hearing a bibical story of two warriors that met an entire army at a narrow mountain pass and killed hundreds if not thousands of men before troops could go around the mountain to attack and kill them from behind.

I went to a private christian school during my elemetery years, I remember it and it was only two men. They stood at a gap in a mountian where they could face their enemy face to face. Could have been a rearranged story of the Greeks. It was against the Persians because the leader stayed back and send squds of troops forward one after another. If it would have been gangis, hanibal or any of these types of leaders they would have come forward theirselfs to fight them. Thanks for your replys :)

it isn't a biblical story. Sounds more like the battle of Thermopylae. The only two greeks named were Leonidas and Dieneces(in herodotus' histories there were actually about 4,000 greeks vs. about 250,000 persians and medes) It is a very good story and albeit a very true one.

This doesn't sound like any Biblical story I know, and OT history is a personal interest of mine.

The closest thing to it is the battle with Johnathon and his armour-bearer (who wasn't named). They climbed a small hill to attack a Philistine outpost when their respective armys were camped near each other. The two of them killed the men of that garrison, about 20 guys in the space of 1/2 an acre, before they were even missed from their camp.
