Whatever is reasonable for you! Seriously, some people pay $40,000 and some make do with $1,000. Don't break the bank, don't take out loans, and don't pawn all your stuff to throw a huge, elaborate party. At the end of the day, what really matters is that you have celebrated your marriage to the man you love. It will be just as special if it's six people on a beach or 300 in a banquet hall.

Best of luck!

the average wedding is usally around 20 grand, but u can go as little as 3 grand, u just have to cut out the over expensive things and minimize your guest to only people that are close 2 u, and a marrige licence isnt $200 its only $15 lol

It depends on what you want and what you can afford without going into debt I had a beautiful wedding for under $1000 dollars but I was married before that for $3500 My sister in law just got married and spent nearly $50,000 on hers. Just remember the more details the more stress you have to worry about.

Just remember you need to remember it not your guest and what was the centrepeices.

A reasonable amount is however much you're able to blow on one day without needing to live in a cardboard box afterwards. For some, that's millions, for others, it's a few hundred dollars. It all depends on your lifestyle and resources.

it varies for everyone due to different priorities. even if i had a wedding budget larger than $4500, i don't think i would plan very differently because my conscience wouln't let me spend more than that on a one-day party.

I would think something around $5K for average middle-class people. Nobody should be spending a year's salary.

I would say if you want something fairly simple - classic, elegant, and tasteful - about $20,000-$25,000 is reasonable.
