I'm going to Thailand for a fortnight and have just been layed off, so I'm trying to think of stuff I can buy to bring back and sell on Ebay to help fund my trip.
Any ideas?

I have 5 friends in Bangkok that do it all the time, one makes about $1,000 a week.None have ever been caught selling copies and besides what is Nike going to do?I know 1 man selling copy Gucci bags that had his site shut down so he just opened another account and was right back up again. This is Thailand 'The new wild west'.I t should be called Copyland. If foreign companies or governments had any power what so ever to do anything then a HUGE % of Thailand's businesses would have shut down eons ago. They can't do squat.I know this stings the American corporate ear but sorry guys.

Women. Just kidding. I know that wasn't very nice but it was the first thing that popped into my head. I bet you could move just about anything such as little souvenirs, statues, blankets or tapestries, or maybe even clothes. Remember that everyone out there likes something different and I'm sure you could find someone that is interested in whatever you brought back. Good Luck and have an awesome trip!

In Thailand they make a lot of handmade stuff so you could try buying some of that, with handmade stuff (as long as it is decent) you can charge extra because people have actually put time and effort into it. You can get little dolls and bags and clothes, that kind of thing, make sure its value for money though ;)

that's privileged information.

Over all name brands sell. Not sure if you can get "real" name brands their cheap. You may risk being kicked off ebay for knock offs. So what ever you buy to sell, know it well.

Some more fake polo shirts wouldn't go amiss on Ebay - just don't try to convince people they are real for £2.00 each.

I would suggest Thai silk products, shirts, dresses and the like. The only problem is, whatever you choose, are you going to be able bring back enough to actually make any money given the new, and very strict, luggage weight limits?

Silks, jewellery, shoes. I wouldn't go with close, as the sizes are different, i.e. a lot smaller. But to be honest, you won't make that much profit.
