Before I lost my back I ran marathons. Best time was 2hr 45min. Running the distance may have been painful but not nearly as bad as remembering what you COULD do before injuries stopped you. I still have all the desire to run and none of the ability.

20:02 for the 5K (3.1 miles). Done this year in late June.
19:05 for the 3 mile.
43:40 for a 10K (6.2 miles).

I've done a mile in about 5:55 during a 5K race. I've never run a mile just to see what I can do it in, though.

I've run a quarter mile in 1:12, I think.

I haven't run a marathon yet.... the training required is a bit much for me right now and I enjoy doing the shorter races (less glory but far less pain). I am planning on doing a half marathon this fall, though for giggles.

the furthest i have run is 11 KM in 1 hour and 5 minute
