cook some curly noodles and some tomato sauce and you have yourself a meal (add meat and spices to make it better though)

10-15 minute Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

I like to cook as long as it doesn't take long. If I'm going to get dishes dirty, it's gotta be better than a jar of Ragu heated up, though. I made this recipe up, so the proportions can be adjusted according to your taste. Just taste it as you go to be sure.

Ingredients:
3 or 4 Tablespoons Olive Oil (I like extra virgin)
2 or 3 Tablespoons of minced garlic (usually in produce dept.)
3 12 oz. cans of tomato sauce
2 12 oz. cans of diced tomatoes with juice
3 or 4 Tablespoons Basil Pesto (I usually use Classico brand)
Salt and Pepper
Some Kind of Pasta

(Start the water boiling for the pasta in a separate pot right away, otherwise the whole process takes longer.)

On low heat, add olive oil to a large saucepan. Add the minced garlic. Once the garlic looks a little translucent (about 1 minute) add all of the cans of tomatoes. Stir. Add the pesto, stir again. Give it a taste and add salt and pepper according to your liking. Keep on low heat stirring occasionally until the pasta is done. Then you can serve it all at once. Honestly, the pasta usually takes longer to make than the sauce does.

You can also add browned meat or sausage, mushrooms, onions or whatever else you like, but it usually turns out best if you add these things BEFORE the tomatoes, and it does take a little longer.

This recipe would probably serve 4-6 people depending how much you all like sauce :). Good luck

I love to cook up pasta with shrimp in a light olive oil and basil sauce. It's light, easy and tastes great! Any kind of pasta will work.
