Havig worked a barmaid for a "local" for several years we were quite lucky not to have many problems with drugs. Some really nice little pubs in the area have ended up being shut down because of drugs being sold/used on the premises.
We had a few occurences - it was mainly pills, coke, speed, weed being sold. People often used the toilets as the place to deal - the dealer would hide the packet of drugs in the toilet cistem or the toilet roll holder and the buyer would go to the toilet straight after him to retrieve them. I guess they though that way no-one would see the drugs changing hands. Of course, one of the staff went to the toilet and a packet of coke fell out of the toilet roll holder!!! We called the police but we had no proof who'd put the drugs there (we had a good suspicion - and he was the last to be seen using that cubicle) and he had fled by the time the police arrived.
We were lucky not to have had too many people actually using drugs on the premises - well nothing too hard or serious, I have seen people smoking the odd spliff outside or in the beer garden but it was fairly rare. I don't think we had too much of a problem with people doing coke in the loos - just isolated incidents. I'd have to ask my boyfriend though as I stopped working as a barmaid a couple of years ago so I have no idea if they've had trouble recently. I hope not as it s a nice little pub.

Oh hell yes! I caught my daughter doing crystal meth and had her thrown in jail for it I turned her in to the net program. Needless to say she's clean today. what is in our local area heroin, crystal meth,cocaine,and some really need junk that has killed 6 of our unsavory citizens already. U have to stand strong against drugs and use the phone and turn the culprits in every time u catch them or hear even a tail of it I do and I have had many druggies busted. My grandchildren live in this small cow town and by god i'll do my best to keep it as clean as I possibly can.

my local went through a stage of having people doing coke in the loos so what the landlord did was he put a layer of prick stick on the flat services. Stopped the straight away

Definately, cocaine used to be snorted off of the tops of toilets when I worked as a barmaid. Tried to stamp it out by applyin vaseline to the tops hence to say this didn't work!

What's the deal with hogs head pubs? The HH middlesbrough is the only place I've seen one of my friends receive direct racist abuse.
Coincidence or are they 'that kind of place'?

never noticed it but then i dont use or look for people who would use. if you're looking for it then you're more likely to find it. or also, if you live in a dodgy area then its more likely to happen. the pub on my estate scares me so i dont go in cos i live on a seriously dodgy area

Drugs are everywhere these days, in my opinion...
I've done pot, bars, ecstasy, downers, and painkillers.
Acid and coke man... That's been in my mind.
