I just found out I have a staph infection and I hold him all the time and he likes to chew on my fingers, I'm very worried now, but he's very mad at me because I won't hold him untill im healed....

there is no guarentee as with all diseases there is a chance that something has a weakness that will allow an infection to occur or one disease that was know only to one species will mutate and be found in a different species. wear gloves and if you have taken your meds right you may not have anything to worry about.

Yes, you should take care and avoid contact with the bird. Some diseases can be transmitted from animal to man and vice-versa. You might even consider asking your doctor/Vet whether he suggests a prophylactic antibiotic to insure your pet's good health.

no not likely because this is olny transmitted from human to human their is no know cases of transmission from human to animal
