there are false bibles amidst us.
This is a very -very serious study that I am going to show you.
There are 178 verses omitted from the bible in (majorly) niv (new international version). I will not suggest you to buy not even King James Version or new KJV.
The bible that you SHOULD buy must have this
1.King James version which has this written on it-
“Translated out of the original tounges and with the former translations diligently compared and revised.
2. authorised King James Version.
3. the words of Jesus should be printed in red. (so that you will better understand the distinction between writer’s writing & Jesus words.
But if you have budget than buy niv also for witnessing the false translation subject to others.
Find the evidence:
Isaiah 14 verse 12 does not have Lucifer’s name in most of the translations - & that’s the one & only place it appears.
#Entire 17 verses omitted
Mathew 17:21, 18:11, 23:14,
mark 7:16,9:44,46 11:26,15:28
Luke 17:36, 23:17,
John 5:4,
acts 8:37, 15:34, 24:7, 28:29
romans 16:24
1 john 5:7
And portions of 178 verses ommited.
173 times name of lord Jesus Christ ommited
38 times lord Jesus
43 times Christ
lord 35 times
God 31 times
Other names of God 26 times
36 times hell is changed.

I think most are. The catholic one has chapters that the king james does not from my understanding and the wording is a bit different, but unfortunately the bible is not a pure doccument. It has been translated too many times. I forget what the 1st language it was written in was. Perhaps you can find one with that and then the english below. They have that with the Quran and arabic I understand to keep the translation pure. I am not Muslim. I was raised Catholic, so you can take what I was with that slant. You probably should talk with a priest or minister that has been to seminary. Not one of the fly by night ones, but someone who has studdied and has a masters or phd and they can give you a more intellectual answer. Go to a Catholic or Denominational Protestent Church and ask for an apointment. Try Episcopal or Methodist or Catholic. I think they have more theolgy training. Or put a post on here. There are some priests and ministers on here. Put one on here asking for one and then the bible question. Some are open minded about theology. I will look for a name that wrote me and see if I can link it for you.
Here this is the man who gave me good info. He has a PHD and should be able to give you a good aswer. Good luck.

The TEV is not paraphrased. The Living Bible is a paraphrased English version.

Translation is taking an unique textual content and putting it into yet another language or semantic context. Paraphrasing is changing the wording. The "Message" Bible is an outstanding occasion of paraphrasing. i've got in no way rather cared for that version by using fact i think of it takes remote from the unique which ability and lays issues open to misinterpretation.

Fantastic question!
If you try to translate something (anything) to a completely different language it is very clear that you can do it in many ways and alter the meaning a bit, or a lot.
Bible has been abridged and translated soooo many times by sooo many different people that there is NO WAY that TEV is not paraphrased to the core! (and any other Bible for that matter, that was my point)

well you could say all of them are especially the old testament, when the scholars completed the king James version they included a letter to the king and any others concerned that they had merely done the best they could translating the Hebrew from the massara, they knew what revelations said about adding or subtracting from the word of god and the letter was their way of saying if we've erred it was not our intention, there are only a few Hebrew scholars in the world today that can translate the old Hebrew correctly and they sometimes disagree, the new testament that was written in Greek is more straight forward but there are still disagreements as to that translation too, so much of these old languages have to be interpreted in text.

I believ the TEV/Good News Bibe would be considered a paraphrase. Ther is a review here: http://www.bible-researcher.com/tev.html

Any new versions of the bible is. If you want one that isn't, see if there is someone in your family who has what is called "the family bible" this is usually an heirloom in some families, and has the family tree in it. My family does and it is 5 inches thick, has color plates (pictures for the youngsters) leather binding, was 8x10 inchs in size, and is over 100 years old. It has all the thee's, thou's, sayeth's an so forth in it. The older the better.
