Short answer: Christianity was a sect of Judaism in the First Century A.D. However, due to Christians witnessing to and accepting Gentiles into the Faith, traditional Jews kicked them out.
There's a whole lot more to it than that. I just figured that in this forum, shortest would be best. If you want to know more, go talk to a priest AND a rabbi. Ask their takes on the split and for references to a good source for religious history.

The Jews did not kill Jesus. Can you tell me that one day they welcomed him to Jerusalem with open arms and the next day that voted to kill him. Does this make sense to you? If the Jews wanted to kill Jesus they could have done so by law without Romans butting in. It was their right according to Roman Law to try and execute there own if he had committed blasphemy. Jesus was killed because he was Zealot who preached against Rome. Preaching against Rome is certain death and Jesus knew it.
The original followers of Jesus were called Galileans and they were all Jewish. The word Christian had not been invented when Jesus died. Nor did Jesus begin Christianity. Paul was the main person who helped formulate Christianity along with Paul. They fought continuously to see who would form the religion. After several years (I cannot remember the specific date) the Christian religion began to swerve away from the Jewish portion of the religion and this split continued. It would be very time consuming to describe why this split occurred because it is full of politics, religion, ego, etc. However, it should be noted that the very first followers of Jesus were Jews (there were no Christians) and then later on the Jews and Christians broke apart and went their separate ways. It gets deeper and deeper as time goes by.

His followers were!
All the 12 were Jews, raised Jews, Lived as Jews, were taught as Jews.
And in the beginning Peter believed the word of Jesus was only for the Jews.
It was not tell Saul called Paul that the word was preached to gentiles. And then only did the 12 understand that the word was for the gentiles also.

Jewish is the descent of people (like heritage).
Born in America... then you are American.

Chritisan is a religion.
It is what the follers of Jesus Christ called themselves.

The 2 have nothing to do with each other.
While one cannot really be choosen the other can.
Can't pick where you will be born but you can decide your faith.

And obviously... just because you're (speaking in the third person) a Jew & Jesus is a Jew doesn't mean you're a Christian. As we all know they (the Jewish) very much so disagreed with Him.

The Jews are still waiting for the messiah to come. The Jews are the ones who hung him on the cross. There are a few Jewish Christians though.

Jewish people that aren't Christians are still waiting for the Messiah (Savior). Some Jews don't believe that Jesus is the Savior of the world or the Messiah that they have been waiting for.

jesus never set out to start a new religion.
the seperation from judaism started after his death.
the gentiles were allowed into the salvation.
there was a scism.
the church leader ship in jerusalem wanted the gentiles to be circumcized.
the gentiles wanted to keep their dog peters.
the church in the gentile areas refused to be circumcized.
so a compromise was reached between the leadership in jerusalem and their gentile compatriots. the gentiles were in, without haveing the sign of the covenant between abraham and god. this, no doubt, didn't go over well.
when aid was given out, the gentiles complained that they weren't getting as much as the other brothers who were circumcized(acts).
anyway, the church leadership in jerusalem was killed off.
gradually the only church leadership was to the south of israel.
this was gentile country.
this was rome.
to become more respectable to the roman government and people the church sold out by deifying jesus. the worship of a god-man was not a foriegn
thing to the romans. it really fit in well.
when this happened, a whole new religion was at hand, and the jews were cut off from it. the romans had always seen the jews as a problem that cost money and lives. they modified the then extant teachings of jesus. they lied.

Being a Jew, as in of Hebrew descent, does not necessarily have anything to do with practicing Judaism. Also, Jesus is regarded as the Messiah by Christians, but practioners of Judaism don't believe that.

nicely, on your specific question the respond isn't any, and continuously no, and that i do no longer care who declare in any different case they could teach it, ok. Your question has no benefit considering the fact which you first could rove that Jesus ever lived and that has on no account been shown. human beings ask; What did Jesus propose blah blah, etc; the place did you're making his church blah blah, etc. Ask, replaced into Jesus actual? Now it extremely is a question. Jews did no longer settle for Jesus as a actual individual and that they knew who replaced into writing that NT tale, and knew that Jesus replaced right into a fictional character in a fictional tale. It replaced into written by utilising the Romans, initially to attempt to transform the Jews to theory in Jesus and to wreck Judaism; they failed on the two counts, yet additionally killed hundreds of thousands of Jews interior the call of that fictional character Jesus. there have been no Christians in the previous the 300 and sixty 5 days of roughly seventy 5 CE or fairly later. recover from the dream, Jesus isn't actual in any respect.
