I believe so, but I do not think it is Israel alone and here is my logic behind it.

Israel was first thought of in the first Zionist convention of 1897 by Theodore Herzel and his cronies. Their motto was: "A land without a people for a people without a land." The truth was that Israel was full of Arabs who we today call Palestinians.

The Sykes-Picot Agreement of May 16, 1916 divided the now known Arab states into almost what they are today. The Arabs during WWI were promised total autonomous rule over their own land if they help the French and British against the Ottoman Empire. Then comes this secret agreement which was leaked out by Lenin and it stated that the League of Nations was to divide Arab lands between themselves. France occupied and split up Syria, Lebanon, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, while Great Britain took over and split up Jordan, Palestine, Egypt and Iraq. Italy was free to have Libya, and Russia just moved in and took over almost anything that had the word Stan in it.

When the Europeans finally let go of these states, they made sure they knew who was in power. Most of the rulers are still there today (and if not they were replaced by their own children) and this causes much hate for the Europeans among the Muslim populous. The reason this causes hate is that all these rulers oppress there people and do not invest in the infrastructure of their own countries what so ever. Most Muslims would love for their countries to unite again but this would create a great shift in the current power balance and the leaders of the Muslim countries love their thrones too much to give them up.

This causes Muslims to hate their governments and hate the west also.

In 1917 the Balfour Declaration states that Britain is to support a Jewish homeland in the state of Palestine. 1948 Israel is first recognized by the United States and places its territory on the homes of Arabs that were expelled from their land.

Now if one inspects closely they will see that most Arabs are Muslims and but most Muslims are not Arab. Islam is the link between the Arab and non Arab Muslims. The Arabs who were expelled were mostly Muslim and thus other Muslims are angry at that. The U.S. supports Israel against the Arabs and now Arabs hate Israel and the States. Now that the Arabs hate them, soon enough Muslims started to hate them. When Muslims started to hate them you grew terror groups like Al-Qaeda which chose to do stupid things to show it was upset. Thus Israel and the U.S. seem to have created the terror we see today.

If the question was: Is the Israeli media & the Meretz party in Israel the key to most of the terrorism in the world? I would have answered that possibly yes. But Israel itself-no.

There are many terrorist organizations around the world besides Muslim extremists.. It has only been recently that the focus has been on the whole Muslim/Jew conflict but let us not forget that the 9/11 attacks were motivated (purportedly) by the actions of the US Military during the first Gulf War in 1991. That had nothing to do with the Israelis. The hands of America are not exactly clean when it comes to Arabian foreign policy, there are plenty of good reasons for Muslim extremists to hate the U.S. without dragging the Jews into the argument.

No.

But it's also unfair to label them as "the good guys." Anyone looking at the facts sees that Israel sparks violence and preaches intolerance to it's own people. A blind allegiance to a country like Israel is concerning to me, as an American, because it causes us to make tough decisions like the U.N. Cease Fire proposal, which (at least since the last time I read) does not require Israel to pull out of Lebanon.

Also, Israel has an extensive nuclear power plant and did not sign the nuclear proliferation treaty. Either did the U.S. Just a random tidbit.

So to answer your question - Israel is not to blame for most of the terrorism in the world, but some of their actions certainly ignite it.

no. Blind hate and ideology is. Cultures which focus on the past instead of the future are dooming themselves. Israel has become the scape goat, they are not a threat.

Nations which are secular in their governing style don't tend to have the problems with home grown terror. I find that fact funny.

And refresh my memory.. How many Jews have blown up city buses or cafes? How many Christians have hijacked planes? How many Buddhists have been involved in mass murder?

these are questions which should be answered. I already know the answer, do you?

easily? by way of fact Bush and his administration have fixed a conflict on terrorism. yet surprisingly sufficient, this doesnt conceal any form of terrorism different than Muslim terrorists. Venezuelan terrorist arent centred, neither are Philipino terrorists, neither the terrorist procedures of the Israeli military. look, to be completely straightforward, a conflict on terrorism is idiotic via definition. You cant salary conflict against an theory. I agree including your stated passage from the Quran in theory. and that i, as a Buddhist, have renounced violence of any style...yet no longer absolutely everyone realizes that conflict isn't the respond. human beings hotel to violence on a daily basis for idiotic motives. Bushs conflict has many many many secret motives at the back of it. Dont have self assurance this bullsh*t "conflict on terror" excuse. Peace

The key to terrorism is a sense of powerlessness, marginalization, desperation, lack of empathy, lack of civility and compromise, and lack of respect for dissenting views.

Unfortunately for terrorists, the medeival mindset of their religion is the root cause of their disenfranchisement with the 21st century.

they fear becoming trivialized and losing what little power they retain. They fear losing control over their increasingly educated women, and can not understand how people who don't worship their god can succeed so brilliantly while they labor without progress.

So they blame the devil west and do not look at their own shortcomings.

In short, 90% of terrorism stems from a gross misunderstanding of Islam.

i dont think you can blame Israel alone. There are many other reasons.People are misinformed, uneducated, frustrated and sometimes in poverty you just want to have an outlet to let your anger filter through. Dont get me wrong Israel is the main cause of a lot of probs in the world today ( All the wars for that matter)
But imagine if there was no Israel would there be no terorism.
I dont think so

No, Israel and America together.

P.S: Jon H: you are telling just one sided. We in the west don't get information about what is happening in Iraq or Palestine. I mean real information which shows both sides(not propaganda). I think some muslim (extremist) are very angry.
