A tree to plant in his yard. A fruit tree if possible.
This is not expensive, and very symbolic. You could attach a note, stating how the tree will grow and produce just as their marriage will.

If he is like a brother to you than you already know what to get them.
1) Do you know the bride?
2) Do you know what they like to do together?
- In that case you could give them something that would help them in their hobbies/favorite activities.
E.G: If they like camping, give them a tent, or something like it.
An unusual gift always shows how well you really know them and how much you really love them.
3) Is their house ready to live in?
- In that case, can you give them something that is of everyday use and that you know they need?
E.G.: microwave oven, barbecue accessories, pots and pans...

I always find that a nice bottle of wine and champaigne along with a set of wine glasses make a nice, thoughtful gift. something they can use now, and something that they can use down the road.

get a paper bag and put your s-h-i-t inside it plus you might give in a lil vomit and holla! seal it in a cool wrapping gift pack specially made for them!
