Great Question,
Currently reading "The Tent of Abraham" by Arthur Waskow (Jewish), Murshid Saadi Shakur Chishti (Muslim) and Joan Chittister (Christian). Great reading on the three Abrahamic religions take on the story of Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, Ishmael and Issac. Also includes an interesting foreword by Karen Armstrong.
I wish there were more questions like this and less of the baiting kind.
Peace and Blessings,
Salim

Do your self a favor. Go read something that will make real sense to you. Power of Intention by Wayne Dyer . Other books: Wisdom Of the Ages, Sky Is the Limit, if you read one you may well read them all and there are alot more.
There not religous, there spiritual and they explain Gods concept or more aptly stated getting yourself connected to the source of everything that (is) in the universe.

despite the fact that somebody already stated it, I additionally propose "The alchemist" with the aid of Paulo Coelho. that's an outstanding, short e book which you will examine at each time. Additionaly, it rather receives you to think of roughly your self, approximately yourlife, and approximately your present day direction and options in existence. i could actually call it inspiring.

i don't know about inspirational books......they don't really offer any knowledge, fantastic adventures, or funny sh!t.
if you want inspiration, try ambrose bierce. he's amusing.
here's a little taste:
Cynic, n: a blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be.
Dawn: When men of reason go to bed.
Conservative, n: A statesman who is enamored of existing evils, as distinguished from the Liberal who wishes to replace them with others.
