The Washington psychic that predicted the John F. Kennedy assassination and Martin Luther King ? Is she still alive?

Her book was the first book on psychicI read many years ago. It was given to me by a friend from Washington.

She died of cardiopulmonary arrest in Washington D.C. on Jan. 26 1997, aged 93.

As a point of interest: President Richard Nixon referred to Dixon as "the soothsayer" and ordered preparations for a terrorist attack she had predicted. She was also one of several astrologers who gave advice to Nancy Reagan during the presidency of Ronald Reagan.

Dixon was so well-known that John Allen Paulos, a mathematician at Temple University, coined what he called the "Jeane Dixon effect", in which people loudly tout a few correct predictions and overlook false predictions.

In some circles she's referred to as the "fallen psychic" because some of her predictions were so far from coming true that she eventually "faded out" of the public view.
