The furthest I have been from home is from the UK to Hong Kong, I moved there in 1979 and lived there for 2 years, loved it, haven't a clue how far that is in miles, but I think its hell of a lot

For me, it depends on where you consider home.
I live in both California and Alaska, though I consider California my home most often because that's where I was born, Alaska is a home as well because of my friends and many loved ones up there.
As for traveling from either place, I've never left the West Coast, only having been to Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. And really, it's kinda even between the two...

Don't like to brag! Been to Australia via Mexico, Tahiti and New Zealand, back via Hong Kong, Thailand, India and Turkey. Then went to Hong Kong by way of India (love the country) Nepal, Burma and back by way of Hawaii, San Francisco ......Miami, England. What the hell, the company paid the air fare, only had to pay for hotels.

I live in Scotland UK and visited my son in South Island, New Zealand a few years ago. I flew out via Singapore (brilliant place but high humidity) and went to his place at Milford Sound which has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. It took me 36 hours to fly home though. Never again!

From Grimsby, east coast of UK to Las Vegas, Nevada
But well worth the trip! Even if I didn't make my fortune at the tables ... Grand Canyon was spectacular!
