I think i have only seen two, and i have been to quite a few places in good old USA!

What is a roundabout? Hey, I guess maybe thats why!

The American road system doesnt use Roundabouts they have the concept of a 4-way stop!
Every time I have driven in the states the 4-way stop scares the hell out of me!
Great fun is driving an American around the big roundabout in Hemel Hempstead. The Big roundabout with lots of little roundabouts around it, locally known as the Boffins Dream!
For any Americans reading on a Roundabout, traffic on the roundabout has right of way and you must wait for a break in the traffic before entering and you always go left around!

Roundabouts are so foreign to us. We don't know how to drive through them. Who has the right of way? How do you approach a roundabout? I know I got caught in a new roundabout in Phoenix and I thought someone was going to crash into me!
We're not used to these things!

isnt it strange my english friend who lives in america said to me yesterday that there are very few roundabouts in usa but she didnt know why. where she lives they call them circles cos they didnt know what else to call them. they have just made one in ohio where she lives and its very rare for some reason.

I have one near my house and I can tell you-most americans are too stupid to figure out the right of way,so they cause a lot of accidents. Most americans can't even figure out the 4 way stop!

They don't need it, they have a one track mind. (just kidding) They do have roundabout (called rotaries) but because their roads are so big and turn-off junctions are so many they don't really need so many!

they have four way stops instead. roundabouts are a europe invention and not a bad one at that.

American cars can only go in straight lines ! They are not built to go around bends. Hence a lack of roundabouts.
We have too many though !
