No....absolutly not. Nothing good can come from telling them now. Sometimes its best to let sleeping dogs lie.

Its hurting you not to tell them. Obviously its something that will be on your mind, and it will eat away at you an effect your relationship whether you like it or not. . I think they have the right to know. They put their trust in you and you broke it.

btw.. They will find out one day..You will slip up, or someone else will end up telling.. Its better you told that person yourself then to be the last one to find out.

Shame on all of you.. A Betrayal is a Betrayal.. Who cares if it was 8 years or 8 months. Who made a timeline that says cheating is okay as long as you don't tell your partner? You are just living a lie by not telling them.

After 8 years of silence you should remain silent, especially if you never plan to let it happen again and truly love your partner, why hurt them now after all this time? Your guilt is punishment enough so why risk losing the person you really love? We all make mistakes we wish we could take back, no one is perfect. Good luck and God bless.

Girl, I know the feeling. But I suggest you learn to
1.) forgive yourself
2.) forget about it
3.) and start anew.

That is if in your heart, you know you are not going to do it again.

This guilty feelings will not and cannot help your relationship with your partner now. Learn to let go.... Give yourself another chance, everybody deserves one.

By the way, I almost thought we had the same avatar.... Pretty, I should say.

If it hasn't happened again in eight years and you're at a good place in the relationship, let sleeping dogs lie. If it's weighing heavily on you and you can't get past the guilt, you may have to come clean. Try confessing to your priest first, though, and see if that purges you.

DON'T DO IT! he will never trust what you say..and he will not believe you that in those 8 years you only did it once...I know, people are gonna say honesty is the best..but in this case, its not right. He will go cheat on you..I am so serious, he will consider it everynight before he goes to bed, or throw it in your face when you fight.
Just don't do it again, good luck!

no no no.... don't tell your partner coz it would be disastrous to your relationship. why? coz when you tell him that you cheated, well, because he loves you so much he would forgive you. but in the long run, he would use this as a reason for every fight you'll gonna have. just try to nurture your relationship... be good and be considerate next time of his feelings.

Don't ever do or commit this mistake to share this smallest secret with your love , if you do not want to loose for ever , keeping this secret you are not harming anyone , but after sharing ,you are hurting so many , you can not count , keep mum & enjoy your rest life .

Very few men would have the maturity to handle something like that....

if it is eating at you, go tell a priest or go through a repentent process.... and let it go, stop judging yourself as it hurts, ... once forgiven the sin no longer exists.., so foret it and let it go.

No! Don't do it.

It will only hurt him for no reason.

What he doesn't know can't hurt him.

Your relationship will never be the same again if you tell.
