i think people of the opposite sex only become friends because of the initial physical attraction, when i was younger i thought guys were my "friends" but always found out later they liked me more than a friend. In a girls mind, she may only want to be friends, but most guys are only trying to get in your pants.

I think it's possible.. I've been good friends with this girl whom i met through the net for about 4 years now. We've been through loads together. For example, our individual relationship problems, thoughts on life n all.. it sounds really fictional or even movie-like. But the fact is.. we never ever had any romantic feelings fo each other.. maybe it's because the both of us are as ugly as hell? Haha.. i don't know man. For the record.. i have a girlfriend and she has had her fair share of boyfriends. And we do practice a limitation to our interactions. We've never met up late at night and talked over a couple of beers...like in those damn movies. Nor has she cried over my shoulder.. it's just.. a normal friendship. But it's been quite long, i guess i can call it a good and true friendship.

I have had a lot of guys that were friends, and they all "turned" on me sooner or later, making the friendship awkward. Eventually, I had to stop being close friends with them since my feeling were not the same.
I don't think guys have the switch in their head that they can flip to friends only. Once they spend so much time with a female their feelings begin to evolve. Unless they are gay.....those are the best guy friends to have. Never have to worry about the feelings changing.

Absolutely..... Have lots of them and sometimes, they are even better than some of the girl friends I have.
And yes, sometimes there could be attraction but its always a case of too big a risk to fall in love....and lose the friendship.
Just keep looking.
