Genesis 1 says animals, Genesis 2 - man.

I know the explanation of different scribes telling different versions of the same story; I'd like to hear from those convinced that Bible is the pure word of God, unaltered by humans hand.

B/c this kinda raises the question what other things got changed along the way.

Here is the order in the first (Genesis 1), the Priestly tradition:

Day 1: Sky, Earth, light
Day 2: Water, both in ocean basins and above the sky(!)
Day 3: Plants
Day 4: Sun, Moon, stars (as calendrical and navigational aids)
Day 5: Sea monsters (whales), fish, birds, land animals, creepy-crawlies (reptiles, insects, etc.)
Day 6: Humans (apparently both sexes at the same time)
Day 7: Nothing (the Gods took the first day off anyone ever did)

Note that there are "days", "evenings", and "mornings" before the Sun was created. Here, the Deity is referred to as "Elohim", which is a plural, thus the literal translation, "the Gods". In this tale, the Gods seem satisfied with what they have done, saying after each step that "it was good".

The second one (Genesis 2), the Yahwist tradition, goes:

Earth and heavens (misty)
Adam, the first man (on a desolate Earth)
Plants
Animals
Eve, the first woman (from Adam's rib)

How orderly were things created?
#1: Step-by-step. The only discrepancy is that there is no Sun or Moon or stars on the first three "days".
#2: God fixes things up as he goes. The first man is lonely, and is not satisfied with animals. God finally creates a woman for him. (funny thing that an omniscient god would forget things)

How satisfied with creation was he?
#1: God says "it was good" after each of his labors, and rests on the seventh day, evidently very satisfied.
#2: God has to fix up his creation as he goes, and he would certainly not be very satisfied with the disobedience of that primordial couple. (funny thing that an omniscient god would forget things)

What God Created First

I believe God created the animals first then man. Like it says in Genesis 1. The Bible is the Word of God.

Genesis 1:20-21 God created birds and sea creatures.
Gen 1:24-25 God created animals
Gen 1:26-27 God created man...Adam and Eve not in the picture yet because they were formed after the creation, in chapter 2; Adam and Eve were not the first people.
I would think of the Garden of Eden as God's special project. After He created the heavens and the earth in chapter one, He planted the Garden of Eden in chapter 2 (Gen. 2:8) and later on throughout chapter 2 we see that He used what He had created in chapter one to add to the garden; to form things for the garden.
Adam was formed from the ground in chapter 2 and the events in chapter 2 took place in the garden of Eden...God planted this garden after the creation (Gen. 2:8) that took place in the first chapter. God FORMED animals in the garden of Eden, as well as Eve so Adam would not be alone. Notice in chapter one, God CREATED everything. There is a difference between creating and forming....Creating you take nothing and make something, but when you form something, you begin with something--you form a mug by using clay---but if you were to create a mug, you would just make it happen without using anything. So animals were created before people were all over the world except for in the garden of Eden. In the Garden of Eden, God formed Adam then animals, then Eve. Study chapters one and two more carefully. I hope this helps you get a better understanding of the creation...This is what really happened! and the bible is plainly spoken so I hope this is easy to understand.

It's pretty clear that God made the animals first..then man on the sixth day...like the day just before God rested...

Now on the one hand you say you want to hear from those who are convinced Gods word has not been changed then turn right around and state that a statement somebody might tell you could raise questions as to what else might have been changed along the way??

If you believe Gods word...you will know without question ..no matter who says what that Gods word will not and cannot be changed..not language not science not knowledge not education....nothing can ...and nothing will change Gods word.... read Jeremiah 33:20-21..
Then you might have a slight idea that it is impossible ...for it to be changed..God bless

Animals first

animals... and then... la piece de la rrrrezistance... M A N!!! Voila!!! And then... bonus.. or... "La creme de la creme" Woooa, Man! (AKA Woman) and then.... that's how the food chain was created... the first ones are on the bottom of the food chain... you finish the sentence. g'day! Gennesis is not a chronological bool... the events are not always listed in order they are mentioned just to make a point... The first chapter specifies the order in which creation came about with a little more detail... the second chapter is focusing on a different aspect... and it's the tragedy fo falling into deceit... so you won't find the order of events but just the mention of them... Don't worry it takes practice, and observation to understand the dynamic...

God created everythign spiritualy before he created everything physicaly. I don't know where in the bible exactly it states that.. but it says it somewhere in genisis 1 2 or 3.

So to answer your question, He created animals first physicaly, and possibly man first Spiritualy... I this the ambiguity of this topic leaves it to be a "Mystery of god" which only the holy prophets can answer.

Much has been distorted over the years, even the translater Jerome has said som himself in a letter to the pope, when he requested to translate the book of Psalms from the much earlier greek text, as aposed to the later Hebrew translation.

animals were created first not man in the second chapter it was just stating that he had made the animals out of dust not that they were made after man.
