I can't understand what he is saying half the time. He heavily uses slang or ebonics or whatever but he is really the nicest guy. Is there anyway to give someone a chance that you really can't even carry on a conversation with?

You just gotta get to know the person and look over his slang a bit.You never know, he might be a fun person to be around but you have to take that chance and find out. And there's nothing wrong with asking him the meaning of the words he is using and just be real with him and tell him you are new to that kind of talk and that you find it interesting.There are also books and websites dedicated to the slang language and you could do sort of crash course just to get an idea of what he is talking about. Not only could you learn some things from him,he could learn some things from you. Perhaps you have words that would be interesting and new to him. There is nothing more beautiful that the fusion of two cultures learning from each other.

LOL. Sure. Perhaps he doesn't speak "Becky." You see us good black folks, think that white women speak funny too. Sometimes, you guys say things that are unfamiliar as well. And, just how you guys refer to black talk as "Ebonics," we refer to white girl talk as "Becky." So, give him a chance, and if you do not understand, just tell him and I'm sure he will rephrase his statement. And, have fun. That's the most important thing. If you really like this brother, then that's all that matters.....

You don't need to carry on a conversation with him if he's black. All they ever talk about is sticking it to the man or busting caps in whity or stealing car stereo and Starter jackets. I mean honestly, everybody know that the only reason girls like black guys is because they have huge man pieces. As soon as you stop kidding yourself and realize you're only in it for the sex, then you'll stop caring what he's saying with his mouth and start caring about what he's tasting with his mouth.... if you know what I mean...

If you really like him,explain the difficulty and ask if he could try to speak in a way you can understand. If he's offended he's probably not right for you!

If he is interested, he'll learn how to communicate with you. A relationship can only go so far without being able to talk.

.......one thing is messing with your mind right now...it maybe that he's black...or you just can't accept him for what he is....poor black fellow...gettin ditch out by a white gurl....but hey why don't you give him a chance...it might work out right you know?
