I would have to say Willie Mosconi was the best pocket pool player of all time. There are and were a lot of great ones though. Mosconi was a 15 time world champion , He won most of those championships on 10 foot tables , They use 9 footers nowadays, He won his championships when straight pool was the deciding game of choice, you have to call every shot , even safeties , A much more difficult game than 9 ball which is what they play today. A lot of luck involved in 9 ball , not much in straight pool.A lot of the equipment used in those days was not very good either, another obstacle to contend with. And last but not least the man ran 526 consecutive balls in an exhibition match in Springfield Ohio. He never missed 527 either , he had to quit due to other commitments. Who knows how far he could of gone. Taking all of this into consideration , Willie has to be the best ever. Thank you.
