I am not insulting christianity, just so you know, i am married to a wonderful woman who is christian and i am a very devoted wiccan priest. But i will happily answer your question..out right its simple...the christian faith promotes and encourages people to share their faith with everyone. I personally find this offensive but on the other side of that coin i wouldn't insult someone back for trying to convert me. Alot of people find attempts to even share information about your religion with them that was uninvited offensive those who attack back are usually the ones so unsecure in their faith or lack their of that they do know what else to do./
Gays are different..the reason they say they are being persecuted is because peopel are trying to keep legal rights away from them for religious reasons and that is persecution no matter how you spin it. I hope this answers your questions friend. Have a great day.

A bit more: Another big part of it is that most people are unaware those of us who are not christian are offended by the mere shareing of information. I was raised baptist so i understand it. In our eyes if we wish to hear about christ we know where to come to have you come to us it is like someone walking up and saying, "you are complete wrong...it doesn't matter what you believe you are wrong i am right...accept it or suffer" (that isnt just about christians its about all missionaries) just some info from the other sides shoes. Good luck again.

It doesn't make sense. They can tell me that I'm wrong and going to burn in hell for eternity, but if I tell them why I think they are wrong it is somehow persecution. At least most normal Christians don't try to use the persecution card...for those that do, they should go try living in a mostly non-Christian country or walk a mile in a gay man's shoes so they can find out what real persecution is.

I don't think that it is a symptom of Christianity alone, though it may seem that way if you live in the States.
There are many people who find it difficult to imagine having a point of view other than their own.
I don't think it neccesary to insult Christians, and I don't believe it to be the business of a Christian to look down upon someone else's beliefs either.
One's religion is a deeply personal thing, and in fact interpreted differently by everyone.
Lastly, ones religion should be to treat everyone as they would want to be treated, not to judge others (lest ye be judged) and should be inclusive and loving, rather than EX-clusive and suspicious.

I maximum truthfully will shop them in my prayers. they're taking heavily what their fee is as a Christian and foot-step follower of Christ Jesus. of direction, in the event that they have a backing from a company, they are going to be conscious of what they might and can't do in that united states of america. it may be silly to place their life in risk, so i'm helpful this individual has taken all that into attention. the finished subject matter of the Bible is God's Kingdom which will stumble upon earth as that's in Heaven. (Matthew 6:9, 10 Christ's sort Prayer) So, little doubt that's her leading undertaking is speaking approximately this surprising wish. And right here is an significant scripture: Matthew 24:14 "This solid information of the dominion would be proclaimed to the finished international as a witness to all the countries, and then the tip will come." the recent Jerusalem Bible all of us must be doing this.

It's not. No matter what we believe we should respect each other. I have a proverb that my dad used to tell me.
Your walking on a beach that goes on for miles. Reach down and pick up some sand. It so so beautiful that it takes your whole life to study the sand. In it you find a truth. Now picture thousands of people all studying the sand they find. How can I say what I find is greater than what you find.

The real TRUTH is far greater than any human can know.

EasterBunny,
I call it a disagreement, and I've lost nothing.

When I start to lose something, fingers, liver, etc. I start to think that it might be persecution.

This is persecution:
Paul Garnier, a very pious Protestant, had his eyes put out, was then flayed alive, and being divided into four parts, his quarters were placed on four of the principal houses of Lucerne. He bore all his sufferings with the most exemplary patience, praised God as long as he could speak, and plainly evinced, what confidence and resignation a good conscience can inspire.

Daniel Cardon, of Rocappiata, being apprehended by some soldiers, they cut his head off, and having fried his brains, ate them. Two poor old blind women, of St. Giovanni, were burnt alive; and a widow of La Torre, with her daughter, were driven into the river, and there stoned to death.

Paul Giles, on attempting to run away from some soldiers, was shot in the neck: they then slit his nose, sliced his chin, stabbed him, and gave his carcass to the dogs.

Some of the Irish troops having taken eleven men of Garcigliana prisoners, they made a furnace red hot, and forced them to push each other in until they came to the last man, whom they pushed in themselves.

Michael Gonet, a man of ninety, was burnt to death; Baptista Oudri, another old man, was stabbed; and Bartholomew Frasche had holes made in his heels, through which ropes were put; then he was dragged by them to the jail, where his wounds mortified and killed him.

Magdalene de la Piere being pursued by some of the soldiers, and taken, was thrown down a precipice, and dashed to pieces. Margaret Revella, and Mary Pravillerin, two very old women, were burnt alive; and Michael Bellino, with Ann Bochardno, were beheaded.

The son and the daughter of a counsellor of Giovanni were rolled down a steep hill together, and suffered to perish in

Good Fcuking Question! I think the answer is because Christians are better than everyone else on the planet, because after they die, they get to play bingo and shuffleboard in the sky while the rest of the ape-descended heathens are tortured burned and humiliated until the end of existence. Lmao ! Oh yeah, the sun revolves around the flat earth, witches need to be burned, and marriage is such a successful institution that 80% of them end before 10 years.

well 1st of all not all people here on yahoo answers are impolite. they are many esp ull find a lot of women folks, who are more accepting other cultures and beleifs.

and u will also find people like u and me who have come to finish the differences and find common similarities, trying to lessen the gap.

as for those who are impolite, it just shows how much of a hate-filled person they themselves are. they are imperfect yet they still love to find faults wif others. u cant help them. take crticism and appreciation together.

remember criticism from man will get u closer to God. and criticism will help u grow as a better person by helping u overcome the flaws.

may Allah bless us all and shower His endless mercy on all of us

A true Christian understands that persecution is part of the life and we must face and still love and pray for the persecutor. those who claim to follow Jesus and do other than what he has told us, are not following the bible and will be disciplined for it
