My Husband (illegal) is much better than a fruit picker or janitor. I think they all have the same possibilities as everyone else. I don't agree with them coming illegaly but if our country would get its act together we may not have this problem. As it is I think its much too late to worry about what to do with the ones here. First, close the borders. Anyway. In answer. The illegal people are much better than we give them credit for. Yes they are human beings who deserve the same basic rights as everyone else. Freedom, happiness, individuality.

Well unlike the other pro illegals that is not my excuse and I know those people illegal or not can do better, they just got sucked in by bad employers. I have alot, and I mean alot of illegal friends and family members and they would never let themselves be worked for less than minimum wage especially in jobs like that. Those people need to be helped and sending them back to a country where they will get treated probably worse will not help. We need the amnesty so those people can be saved from those jobs by not having to go through employers exploiting them because they are illegal.

US companies could pay more for menial labor jobs, but that would certainly be passed along to customers in increased prices. Then we could potentially be looking at some significant inflation problems.

Plus, immigrant aren't forced to do these types of jobs, they choose to, and if you talk to them, most are very happy doing what they're doing. Picking fruit or cleaning toilets in the US pays much more than picking fruit or cleaning toilets in Mexico, and provides a much nicer quality of life.

without illegals you will pay triple what you you at the instant pay for produce. I surely have surely worked with illegals on a shape interest (my company subcontracted an exceptionally risky interest they does no longer enable us to do to a small-time demo outfit in Maryland and it substitute into the owner and 3 illegals) and that i will aid you already know that they make no greater suitable than $10 an hour (which i does no longer answer telephones for) and that they seldom if ever bathe. heavily, this guy Juan smelled like a turd wrapped in burnt hair.

Bottom line. Illegal is ILLEGAL. If enough break the law due to whatever reason they have the law should be changed to accomodate?
They can complain about where they come from all day long.

There are just as many poor AMERICANS.

How about the United States taking care of its CITIZENS.

IF they want out of the "hell" so bad they could do it the LEGAL way.

Do we really need to spoon feed these people?

Why do they allow themselves to be exploited?

As long as they keep coming over here illegally, willing to do crap jobs for crap money, then there will always be some unscrupulous person who will hire them, even if employers are eventually punished. The fear of being caught and deported will keep them working for crap wages and the employer, who is paying them under the counter, will stay under the radar of law enforcement. It's a vicious cycle.

This country was built on the blood, sweat and disrespect of immigrants(first blacks, then Chinese, now Mexicans). The most desperate will always be the most profitable for business. The life we see as meager is better than the life they feel they can achieve in their own country. illegal immigrants are capable of all the things citizens are, they just haven't been given the chance to excel so the majority of them ends up working positions we see as menial, dirty, and unsafe. We can't expect an untrained workforce to just start picking up jobs that require some kind of experience.

Hey, I am on a weekly basis a porcelain and produce technician and am still called a racist b*tch. Why can't I get the same respect? I am serious, I do this crap for free, so I truly am slave labor, only legal. It is a lame excuse that pro illegals use to justify illegal aliens breaking our laws.

If we had an immigration category 'never do anything but pick fruit and clean toilets', I wonder how many would sign up?
