Well... many people of certain religions back then did not like the Islamic Empire which became very large and prosperous after Muhammad died. The caliphs started getting carried away and forgot what the true teaching of Muhammad was.

The same thing that happened to every other Monothiestic Religion. People started to pick and chose what they liked from the religion and they generally go with that.
I would really hate for the world to judge Islam on what Muslims do, Islam is perfect, People are not.

Islam is fought externally by the west and internally by dictators loyal to the west to try to end every Islamic value and as a result most Muslims today don't follow and represent Islam, but Islam as a true and pure message of Allah is preserved in full by having the holy Quran and prophet Muhammad PBUH tradition preserved and accurate.

I think most religions were started to show people a morale way. The problem is when influential and driven people see a sector following a certain belief system, they try to manipulate those beliefs to benefit themselves. Christianty has also been used in politics to "further a cause". Religion isn't the problem, it is the people who manipulate it and the sheep who refuse to believe they are being manipulated.

The misconception that overshadows any concept and ideea that is filtered through one's mind, will allways proveil. The mentality and spirit changes from one generation to the other. It was ment to be a religion about peace and harmony still it turned out this way because "someone/s" wanted this thing to happen. A society is easily manipulable throw religion.

There has always been a group of men who claim to be muslim and don't live properly. This was the case when Muhammad (PBUH) was alive and it will be the case tomorrow. As attested to in surah Baqarah.

YUSUFALI: There is the type of man whose speech about this world's life May dazzle thee, and he calls Allah to witness about what is in his heart; yet is he the most contentious of enemies.

002.205
YUSUFALI: When he turns his back, His aim everywhere is to spread mischief through the earth and destroy crops and cattle. But Allah loveth not mischief.

YUSUFALI: When it is said to him, "Fear Allah", He is led by arrogance to (more) crime. Enough for him is Hell;-An evil bed indeed (To lie on)!

I would check your assumption as to why Muhammad started a religion. Read a history from a Christian scholar.

As in any religion, the texts are subject to interpretation. In particular, the concept of 'jihad' is confusing. I doubt that Muhammad, were he alive today, would have much good to say about bombers who kill innocent women and children; it certainly is not encouraged in the Qur'an.
