A research was conducted once about kids who live without violence in their lives and kids who have violence in forms of tv, parents, friends. They were put together. What happened was the kids who never experienced violence got beaten up and didn't even think of fighting back. They just let themselves be abused. The answer to your question is no violence doesn't eliminate violence but world peace is an impossible dream. That is because humans have freedom which they may choose to misuse. So why allow yourself to become victim. You defend yourself when needed. I believe violence is a neccessary evil.

that would just made the violence even more violent. sure, it works for some ppl but for most it just backfires. the best way to stop violence in an argument is a good talk..unless it's at a point where the other person is like chasing after you with a knife...then it's wiser to call the police ;)

Very ironically, the answer is yes. The Allies had to use violence to stop Hitler's violence in WWII. If someone is shooting people in a mall, shooting him/her can stop that violence. Eventually if we are all lucky the violence will stop, but from world events currently taking place, it is definitely going to be a while.

I think it will never work out if you stop violence with violence, because it will only progress and get worse. What will learn out of it it that you can do what you want to. People must learn to control there emotions better. That is why " our brains are more developed that animals" is it not.

How is this medicine? Besides, violence is often freaked out by uncalled for kindness.

Sometimes. People are different. Some people are bullies who pick on others because they just "know" those they pick on won't fight back. One time this bully kept picking on me and initially I tried to just ignore it but he wouldn't stop so I slugged him a few times after school then he stopped.

Most times no, sometimes yes. Two wrongs don't make a right, but sometimes there's no other way to get your point across. If I'm being mugged or attacked.. I'm going to get as violent as I can.. and I see NOTHING wrong with that.
