Cats can fart, and some even outrival dogs for the most fetid aroma. I once had two sister kitties and the smaller one could let rip! She was the 'dumb blonde' of the two, and needed her big sister to clean her, and protect her from the neighbours cats etc. She also was veeery slow when she tried to play, and couldn't follow the piece of string or whatever. She would try to bat it like 30 seconds after it went past her. But, the Lord provides, and she had her own secret weapon when things weren't going her way. We called it her skunk bomb, if someone picked her up and she wanted to get away, she would drop one - whoever was holding her would drop her, and pretty much everyone in the room would evacuate.

Yes indeed they do pass gas. One of my cats waits until the dog walks by or lies down next to her then she lets her rip. The dog gets up quickly and leaves the room before he gets blamed and thrown outside for 10 Min's. We finally caught on to that and know the cat jumps in to the room mates chair and does it. The moves to the couch and looks around the room kinda confused like.

Does anyone know what you are asking? Do you? Are you asking if cats fart! Hell yes and they stink! LOL I had a cat that hated my ex-husband........she would fart in front of him while he was lying on the couch.......or she would fart if he picked her up! LOL Good kitty!

Not sure what you are asking, but all animals, just like people let gas out, don't get behind a cow when it decides to go of gas, it will knock you 3 acres away!

I could be the only human in the room and something stinks, I know it wasn't me so it has to be the cats - who else? a ghost farting?

They do if you feed them bad (i.e cheap) food or table food (they can't digest food the same way we do,so DON'T FEED THEM PEOPLE FOOD!!) I use Hills Science Diet Oral Care-takes care of the "smells like anti-freeze" breath too :)
When they do fart, trust me, you'll know it!!

I haven't noticed that with both of my my cats. Maybe some of you are feeding your cats bad food!

Yep! It depends what they eat, just like with any other animal. If you give them food 'from the box' it's highly unlikely, but if they're like mine eating whatever they find outside (I have a farm) anything can happen.
