What if all the illegals went back to there countrys and they never came back would you work at a farm picking fruits and veggis for 12hrs a day for 3 dollars an hr in 90 degree weather would you wake up at 6 am and cut grass and trimm headges in the heat. would you work from 5 am untill 5 pm in costruction buliding houses and work offices, you sure as hell wont you will want to get paid more than 3 bucks an hr so who will do it for you nobody, there will still be alot of americans on welfare there will still be crims commited by Africans and by white people, there will still be prostituion, drugs and Violance all over the country,you will still have you preverts on the internet, your Rapist and Murderers. Where i live, illegals are paid a lot more than $3 an hour!!!!! Also, illegals are subsidised by the taxpayers of this country,so no matter WHAT they make an hour,with all the free benefits given to them,they are making a LOT more than that!!! Well, let's see if this will happen - I would love to test your theory. If all the illegals left the USA, you say the country would drop to its knees and all would grind to a halt?? Hmmmmmm. I really don't agree with you AT ALL!

First of all, there is a lot of automation that could be happening and that the farmers would have to take advantage of if they no longer had their SLAVE labor, so a lot of the manual labor jobs would disappear and there would be one person driving a machine that picks the crops and he would probably get paid a decent living wage, and replace several illegal immigrants. As far as you talk about immigrants picking crops for 12 hrs a day for $3/hr - and you ACTUALLY advocate this??? Are you nuts? Why would you wish this on ANYONE?? The only reason the illegals are able to work for this kind of money is because they DON'T pay taxes on their income and they DON'T live in sanitary conditions (20 or more people living in an abode designed for 2 or 3 people is NOT sanitary), but they do this to split the cost of the rent and so they can send shiploads of their money back to their home countries. AND, when they work for slave wages and live in unsanitary conditions AND bring other members of their families over illegally, they know that they will qualify for social services such as food stamps, welfare (sometimes) and free medical care at the local hospital's ER, and their kids can have FREE education at the taxpaying citizens' expense! And, let's not forget the famous "anchor babies" that they are quick to have as soon as they possibly can, because of all the further benefits from that abuse of our generosity! AND, they further hurt legal citizens by using fraudulent SINs, causing financial havoc that is almost impossible to repair. They drive their cars with no insurance and fraudulent drivers' licenses, if any licenses at all, and run away when they cause accidents, also causing insurance costs to skyrocket for the legal citizens!

Get real! If all the illegal immigrants went back to their countries, the USA would rally and do just fine! Wages would soon rise and more Americans would rise up to take those jobs that would now pay a living wage! Teenagers, stay-at-home moms, and retirees who just want a few hours of work would be back into the jobs at the fast food places and babysitting, cleaning motel/hotel rooms, etc. Oh gee, farmers and other employers may have to lower their expectations a bit on the profits that they make, but so be it! Those businesses who relied on SLAVE labor do NOT deserve to be in business and they should have died a natural death anyways, some time ago!

I've picked tomatoes and cantalopes in the hot Texas sun, I've cleaned motel rooms, I've done construction clean up, I've fabricated and installed signs in 100 degree plus heat. Big friggin deal. Lots of US citizens get paid less that that. $504 every 2 weeks at 80 hours (40 per week) is $8.40 per hour, assuming they're paying a total of 25% taxes. That's about average.

Federal minimum wage is $5.15 per hour. A legal citizen who gets paid $5.15 per hour and worked 12hrs/day, 7 days a week as in your example would get overtime first of all, but assuming they didn't they would take home approximately 80% of their income, which equals $692 every 2 weeks. But they would pay taxes.

You said it yourself, illegal aliens don't pay taxes. That's what everyone seems to be complaining about. It's the burden on the school system, on hospitals, etc that's causing the problem. US citizens are paying 30% or more in taxes and social services still can't keep up.

What do you suggest? That citizens pay more taxes to support the school systems and hospitals they are already paying for? That will not happen.

One way or another, we're going to pay. Either through higher prices or through raising our taxes. There are many who would prefer higher prices.

As for who would do the work, check your history please. White "Okies" worked the fields in California back during the dust bowl. Maybe one of the reasons 'no one' wants those jobs is because they pay $3 per hour. If they were paying $5.15 per hour, plenty would be lining up, believe me.
