My sight hounds see well in the distant, but don't see things up close too well..However, my little mutt sees just the opposite..

dogs don't diferentiate between red and green, but see other colors well...not quite as brightly as we do.

Most dogs have better night vision than humans,

Dogs see movement better than we do, but they don't notice detail, such as facial detail, as well as we do..they notice mostly outlines, or shapes, and less features.

whether they have good sight is a breed to breed thing. For the most part they do. For many years it was thought they could see only in black and white. There are studies that have shown they do have color sight. I love dogs

The dogs ability to see actually has something to do with the length of their noses! Basically the dogs that have longer noses can see better over long distances, but can't see things that are close up in detail, and short nosed dogs can see things very clearly close up, but can't see as much over long distances. That's why my German Shepherd has no interest in TV, but you will find pugs and maltese dogs love to watch a bit of telly.

Funny isn't it ?!

definitely not . the eye sight of each and every dog depends upon the diet given by itsmaster .
