cons:
-wranglers get about 15 mpg. think about how much you drive and calculate your monthly fuel bill. see if that's in your budget.
-see how many miles are on the jeep. check it's maintenance record. if it's had major repairs chances are it will need them again in the future.
-jeeps don't handle well at high speeds. they don't corner at all and they're loud as hell going down the freeway.
-don't try to actually do any serious off-roading in it. you'll probably crack the axle. jeeps are just for show.
pros:
-they're cute and lots of girls like them for that reason.

Pros:
The Wrangler is one of the best off roaders on the market today.
They hold up pretty well. You can reasonably expect the 4.0 straight six to go for more than 150,000 miles.
Cons:
The Wrangler is meant for off roading, so EVERYTHING else comes second. This includes gas mileage, comfort, and the way it handles on pavement.
You should never use its four wheel drive on pavement, unless it's covered with ice and snow.
Chrysler's automatic transmissions have been prone to trouble in the '80s and '90s. Not that very many Wranglers came with automatics.
I would only get a Wrangler if you planned to use it for off roading. If you don't need the off road capabilities, something else will probably be better for your needs.

It really depends on how old and how abused it is (anywhere from a lemon to virtually new)!
A full tank of gas is going to cost you anywhere from $50 to $100 depending on the tank capacity and where you purchase the gas!
