"For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not."
(Job 33:14)
I read your question, but at first I wasn't going to answer it. I was going to log off and go to bed, but first I opened my scriptures, and in my personal reading I had left off in the 33rd chapter of Job. Suddenly I came across this verse, and it seemed to go right along with your question. Hope you like it.

No, it is not hard to believe. Christ would know of the people in the Americas... (I agree with DeeJay)Yes, go figure, even if the Americas were not known to anyone other than the Natives yet, If Christ is/was all knowing than he would not be confined to "discovered" land. "Other Sheep which are not of this fold"... Who Knows how many "Other Sheep" there were.
... Native Americans spoke of a white god.
Feathered Serpent - Is thought by some to be a name given to Christ. Feathered (birds rule the sky) for being the god of the heavens and serpent (Snakes rule the ground) for being the god of the earth (Those who believe this also believe the myths pertaining to Quetzalcoatl have been very distorted).
Christ has been represented by a serpent before... The story of the "fiery, flying serpent" in the Old Testament where the Lord instructed Moses, "make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole, and it shall come to pass that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived" (Numbers 21:8-9).
It just makes sense.

He didn't.
Dreamers would have HIM in England, USA, India, Pakistan, Ireland,
and more.
~~~~~~~LESS THAN 200 MILES!
ONE LIFE
He was born in a stable,
In an obscure village,
the child of a peasant woman,
From there He travelled
less than 200 miles.
He never wrote a book.
He never held an office.
He did none of the things one
usually associates with greatness.
He became a nomadic preacher,
Popular opinion turned against Him,
He was betrayed by a close friend,
And His other friends ran away.
He was unjustly condemned to death,
Crucified on a cross among common thieves,
On a hill overlooking the town dump,
And when dead, laid in a borrowed grave.
Nineteen centuries have come and gone,
Empires have risen and fallen,
Mighty armies have marched,
And powerful rulers have reigned.
Yet no one has affected men as much as HE,
HE is the central figure of the human race,
HE is the Messiah, THE SON OF GOD,
JESUS THE CHRIST!
Don't forget that when He first came, He did it on a certain place on Europe Continent, it didn't mean that He forgot or ignored the entire Europe Continent. Jesus is not only an earthly God, but The Universal Lord!
Well if he didn't forget America, why did he forget east Asian, Africa, Most of Europe and Australia?
I've been studying Mormonism lately and the biggest thing I don't get at this point is why would God give Niphi (sp?) all this prophecy only for no one to read it until it actually happened, then he preserves the original manuscripts only to take them up to heaven after 13 people see them?
Biblical prophesy is always written down before the event and available to the world while the event was occurring. Why didn't God do the same with the book of Mormon?
I believe He did come to the Americas. The account of that can be found in the Book of Mormon. As Mormons we use both the Bible and the Book of Mormon to show that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He wants to draw all men and women to His Gospel. I also have another book that has stories about Jesus Christ derived from legends of Native Americans and South Americans.
John 10:16 says, " And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice...." Problems started again for the native Americans about 200 years after Christ came. After the church had completely apostacized, that was probably when the human sacrifice stuff was happening.
It's possible, but I think that the Aztecs and their ancestors, the Olmecs, actually did not really revere him as uch as Huitzilpochtli, the Hummingbird Wizard, who is pretty darn satanic if you look at how they worshipped him (human sacrifice - on a massive scale).
Though the mayans weren't involved in satanic human sacrifice, their ideals of right and wrong are different than those of Christian principle.
He did come here but he didn't wait for Columbus to discover America. There were people on this continent when Jesus did his teaching . He also came here to teach. I read some very narrow minded answers.
