Gung-Ho !
Naysayers are like that.
From the womb to the tomb, y'know.
I'll give the President credit for courage, stating that [we] will prevail. If we have to wait until 2020 as you say, I look forward to that year day when he'll declare victory.
But when dealing with such a fractious culture, you know it will take a long time to win hearts and minds, that's why young musselmen especially must be brought on board. Maybe they couldn't come out and say it from the start, but patience and effort may work out in the end.
The war is a mistake in the same way a dentist extracting teeth is wrong. Hurts now, but it later on, you look back and realize the benefit was there.

Is it hard to hear: "I told you the war in Iraq is wrong?"?
As you remember the whole world protested about war in Iraq. And you know what? We all knew the war was totally mistake...
So don't be surprised if people from the whole world is smarter than Americans in general.

We "knew" this war was wrong months ago,but still no exit strategy much less an end in sight.I knew this war was useless before it started.
Too bad Hillary didn't know it back then.

Most people found it easy to say three years ago.
Get some newspapers from before the war and read them.

I agree with you, Steve. I was against this when we first went to war with Iraq. In desert Storm, I didn't have an opinion and was still in highschool.
