If humans have ghosts (but IF, but go with me please..), and humans are animals, then some animals have ghosts right?
So, how far back in the tree of life do creatures have ghosts?

Cats and dogs have ghosts? Then all mammals do? - even giraffe and platypus ghosts?

What about fish? They are vertebrates too - is my toilet haunted because i flushed goldie the goldfish 10 yrs ago?

What about ants? Are there billions of ant ghosts for the billions of ants... Jellyfish ghosts, Mushrooms? Sun-flower ghosts? Where does it stop????

Bacteria, single celled organisms, where, what are the boundaries?

[NB- this is my second attempt at the same question...]

I do not believe in evolution, you do and I am going to respect that. May I also give my point of view on this subject.

My beliefs are different I would like to share this with you I will be brief. I do not want to try to change you in any way.
God created me in His own image. Sure on the outside I look like a girl that is what I am. But it is the spirit within. He made the animals, birds, plants and all life after it's own kind. He did not make a giraffe and a whale was born from the giraffe. I was not born of a monkey. Ok. I am not trying to start a war here. I have seen ghosts they are real. I have flushed fish in the toilet and no my toilets have never been haunted. May I tell you a story a true one .I promise. NOt scary and not to upset you. I lived in New Mexico and where I lived was on indian ground back in Sitting Bulls time. I saw an Indian Princess on a black appaloosa and it had white spots. She was riding through the forest on her horse. She rode right up to me and stopped turned and went into the woods without saying or running her horse when she left. That is not the only time I have seen spirits. Now I can not honestly tell you about the ameba's once cell animals jelly fish etc. I saw a wolf one time and it was just a spirit at the time I didn't think so and it was vicious and I ran from it. Yes, maybe all living things have a spirit because God created all living things and all living things praise Him. This comes with my belief of my Christian back ground studies. Do not be afraid of the hauntings of the ants.We step on how many other life forms and kill every day and not think about it. All the germs in the house. Are they not alive. Germs make us sick. A virus in our bodies are alive and it kills such as flu, What about the cancer cell. It has to be alive doesn't it? Is that how we get cancer the cell finds it's way into our body. I don't know that these things have a spirit but something makes these things multiply. Some things just aren't meant to have an answer or just can't seem to be explained when this happends I fall back on my Christian back ground studies and leave it to God to answer these types of questions for when I get to Heaven. I hope I have not created a bad start between us by trying to answer your questions. As I said your belief is just as important to you as mine is to me but we can still comunicate with each other and help one another. I hope I have helped even a little is better then none at all.

WOW. Good question. And if we say that animals do NOT have ghosts/spirits, then what implication does that hold concerning an afterlife? If animals don't have souls. And it follows that humans don't have souls, then there are no souls to go to heaven or hell. An interesting questions indeed.

What if the whole evolution thing was HOW God created us? What I mean is, what if we just ignore that "6 days" thing and say that maybe that 6 days was actually the billions of years it took for the solar system to form, and for life to evolve into us. What if God made the creation story really easy for early man to understand because early man wouldn't have understood concepts such as BILLIONS of years, nuclear fusion, the big bang and an expanding universe, gravity, physics, biology . . . . so God just simplified it and gave us the basic idea????? So then our advancement from single celled organism, to multi celled organism, to salamander . .. . . to monkey . .to man was actually Gods creation process. Then Man would be the finished product and Man could have a soul, while the animals, which are a lower lifeform, may not. Don't worry guys I'm putting down the crack pipe. lol

God bless you all. Good luck.

I think that it all has to do with how developed the deceased's brain is. The most common beief is that ghost are tieed to a spot or person because they have strong emotional ties to them. Ants and reptiles don't have brains that can handle strong emotions, they just survive as best they can, but cats and dogs have frontal mammilian brains that can handle emotions, and many people report that there homes are haunted by their deceased pets. While primates(which is the category that humans fall under) have the most developed brainsso they can handle the strongest emotions(even having two at once,e.i.: a hate-love relationship), and also, have the most reports of ghosts being in that form. Thats just what I think.

Sorry I can't go with the if. Bacteria, fish, kangaroos AND humans do not leave ghosts, just as they do not get to go to heaven. Incidentally, it is a mistake to think of humans as being somehow more evolved than so-called lesser animals and plants (as suggested by your "how far back in the tree of life"); all life presently on this planet has been evolving for exactly the same length of time, from one common ancestor.

While I can't prove or disprove that there are any ghosts, human nor animal, I can disprove evolution.

It is in our blood types.

Human beings most common blood type is O,
Apes most common blood type is B,
Chimps most common blood type is A.

The same typing system was used for all.
Apes and Chimps have almost no O in either species. If we in fact evolved from them we would share the same common blood types, with the same variations. We don't, ergo we did not evolve from primates.
This is scientific fact. Using the same unit of measurement.

As far as the ghost thing, your on your own on that one, although I have heard of human sightings, I've never actually seen one. I've never even heard of animals ghosts.

not really, all life force have ecto, meaning an aurora, people, ants, and even small organisms, since humans are the only logical thinkers and have been infused whith all the sins, our aurora status brights brighter, animals don't have sin, so they shine smaller, making their aura the purest one of all, even bacteria, but they don't stay ghost for long, their aurora fields begin to fade after tehy realize what their life meant to them and everyone around them, making other peoples life diference, even plants have an auroric field, but fade way faster, for example if you would cut off your finger, the aura field will remain for a few month or a year, depending, but if you cut a tree in half the aura field will fade in amtter of minutes, because they are the purest unsinned forces on the universe, and they tent to move on.

if you want more excruciating details, ask..

That is why I don't believe in ghosts, if no one has really seen or heard ant ghosts, then there should not be human ghosts. We are animals too and not that special. But that is indeed for a wild imagination. Maybe bacteria ghosts are ectoplasm.

Wow, you are off the chart. A real nut job. You need to pick a line of thought and stick with it. This believing in something just because it sounds cool doesn't work.

...other people believe this too? Wait a minute....is this from the movie clueless? Are you people old enough to be up this late?
