I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you meant to put either tail or ears for the cropped part. If it is the ears, it is too late to have them cropped, and generally pit bulls are not a breed that has them done for cosmetic purposes.
As for the tail to be cropped, you would need to discuss that with a vet. It's a much longer surgery now because of the age. I say if the people didn't have them done when they were first done, spare yourself the money and the pain your dog will go through and just let him live with a long tail.

To have his WHAT cropped? He's just the right age to have him neutered, if that's what you mean.
Make sure you contact your homeowners insurance provider & your local authorities. You need to be very prepared & responsible when you own a breed such as this.
Don't give me grief about "it's the upbringing, not the breed" - I own a wolf-hybrid, which is also on the "hit list." I had to research the laws of my community before I could even buy my home!

Don't get his ears cropped. This is abusive. No time is a good time to crop a dog's ears. They were born with their ears like thatfor a reason. And no, it's not cute or professional that way. It is a stupid idea someone came up with to make money.

Don't crop the ears. There is absolutely no reason to have this done. It's cruel and inhumane to mutilate your dog.
I would like to see laws passed banning anyone from ever doing this surgery on any animal.
If you choose to do this anyway, make sure it is done by a vet. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO THIS YOURSELF.

it is not too late, after he has changed his teeth, you can have his ears cropped at any time.At 6 months is just good, cause you can observe now what the head shape will have.

why dont you cropp whatever part of yourself that you want done to the dog, and see what the pain feels like. Dogs go through an awful lot of pain just so the owners think they look good.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't crop anything. This is so cruel. Send the money you would have spent on this to a dog shelter instead!
