Sit-ups are bad for your back. Do scrunches instead. Do them every other day and you will see results. As many as you can will produce the fastest results. Otherwise, start with 10 for a few days and gradually increase to 100.

Cardio is one of the best ways to get rid of fat around the ab, along with a good eating plan thats healthy. Of course you should incorporate some ab workouts like crunches .
After I had my daughter many years ago I was really really overweight and lost close to 60 LBS. I did alot of cardio and weight trained 3 times a week to tone not bulk up and threw in some ab crunches on my weight training days. Also I ate very healthy, and finally after all my work the abs got flat and my body toned up. There is no miracle drug or exercise for abs! Good Luck

Impaca is correct! Situps hurt your back. Do crunches.
You can do it!
First, lay down, back to the floor, bend the knees with feet and legs on the ottoman/couch. Bend neck as to touch bellybutton with the chin. Do ten reps and see how this feels. You can build up to a hundred in a few days. Try to touch left knee with the right elbow and vice versa. You do not have to leave the house and you can do this while watching the kids.

A couple of weeks is really pushing it, but I recommend that you work yourself up in increments so that you can do 200 to 300 crunches a day as situps are bad for your back.

Also, if you are able, I recommend that you work yourself up in increments to be able to run 5 to 7 miles a day.

Start with about 50; you can work yourself up to 200 in about a months time. If you don't grow fat around your stomach you are looking at killer abs in probably 4 to 6 months.

If you do grow fat cells around your stomach, you will never get those sexy abs you see in the infomercials. Fat cell growth is genetic - you're stuck with it. Fat cells are cells with the ability to store fat. When you starve yourself, you eat that fat, but you never eat the fat cells - your body's survival mechanism eats brain cells before fat cells. Those fat cells will be there naturally, and you will not be able to naturally have a flat stomach.

There is a way to get rid of fat cells, and its called liposuction. Liposuction does remove the fat cells, so if you have fat cells around your stomach, it's your best solution. Liposuction does have its drawbacks though.

50 situps my ***. You cant spot train, so you need cardio and you will start to lose weight off your belly and also do about 300 situps a day.

you should do situps, but you must also get a good cardio work ou as well, otherwise you will not lose the fat, but your abs will be strong with just the situps
