What a mess this one is. I can hear people arguing this one a bunch of different ways, especially the pro illegals. Of course they'll say"crime is everywhere, we're all guilty of some crime", yada yada, "the employer hired an illegal" and so on. And I would counter with, "if the illegal family hadn't been there in the first place the crime wouldn't have happened". And I would add the fact that these police have now invested time that would have been better spent on taking care of some serious crimes by American citizens. And then there's the money, who knows how much this has cost the tax payers and will continue to cost us. But I am thoroughly disgusted with these answers by the selfish and greedy of America. Since when is the cost of fruit more important than human life? They seriously are willing to sacrifice human life, waste their tax money, jeopardize their own safety by allowing the police to stay busy with crimes that shouldn't be on our soil, just so they don't have to pay more for their fruit. What kind of crazy thinking is this? Wait till one of these insane crimes by an illegal immigrant is committed against one of their own family or themselves. I wonder if the cost of fruit will be so important then.

Hack a 61 year old man to death with a machete because he tries to defend your wife when you 'get violent'. Very nice.
Intel Knight, it would raise an average family's cost for fruit and vegetables $10 a YEAR if farm worker's wages rose out of poverty levels, a 40% raise, to where they used to be in adjusted dollars. Labor just isn't a big component of the cost of fruit and vegetables, as it happens.

You know, I get depressed every time I read something like that ... another totally unnecessary death, and why doesn't anyone clamp down on these employment agencies?? Somebody is no doubt going to say that we have citizens who are criminals too ... very true, but do we have to import more?? Get rid of these blasted illegals once and for all ... build the wall, do what's necessary ... We don't need them, we don't want them ... and those who keep saying we'll have to pay so dratted much more for our veggies when we get rid of them ... all reports I have read indicate we'll have to pay maybe $10 extra for our veggies per year ... personally I'd pay much more if needed just to get rid of these pests ...

Unbelievable...It is unfortunately so common now. I am very happy lots of changes are happening now but after reading your article i wish this deportation and intensified law enforcement would go faster.
