How many times has God contradicted his own words with his own actions? Much like Christ, and even holy men. The bible states: prove me wrong, and you'll be proving me right. As long as you question the bible, you are believing in it. The bible is a game. You can't walk away. The penalty is hell, the reward of understanding is heaven. Which will you choose? But which is which? Is the bible of God? Or of Satan? Which causes more pain?
Prove me wrong, and you'll be proving me right.

Prove me wrong, and you'll be proving me right.

Circular thinking at it's finest! If you do not see what is wrong with this there is no help for you.

the bible does not state" prove me wrong and i'll prove me right." it's the fundamentalist christians who do that not the bible.as for God violating his own commandments, i have this to say. if catholic theology is correct,(and im not saying such is the case because im an agnostic) God is not bound by his rules. He is the rule. the commandments are for us humans to follow as guidelines to holiness. so what's holy about killing in the name of God? the catholic church is very clear on this. there's such a thing as a Just War. it permits the christians to defend themselves when aggressive non-christians attack their turf with the purpose of eradicating their beliefs. so war can be holy in the view of the church. is the bible of God? if a God exists, and this god created the universe then it is a logical necessity that this god should be a benevolent God. An evil god is only capable of evil. look around you and you see that there is good. it's not pure evil out there. on the other hand a benevolent God must also consider the autonomy of his creations because controlling them is a malevolent act. by these standards alone we can know that if a god does exist then at least we're not serving an evil God but a holy one. therefore, the bible is consistent in its teaching that God is good. as for the contradictions in the bible, we must consider the imperfection of man. it was men who wrote the bible- men of god. and although men of god, they were still imperfect and therefore bound by the errors that went with it. the bible is just a glimpse of God. it is not the whole.the catholic church adheres to this. that is why it differs from other christian sects because these sects rely solely on scriptures. the church on the other hand also considers tradition and teachings of other holy men. If a god exists then it is a logical necessity that this god should be all-knowing and if this all-knowing god revealed himself in a way which was unsatisfactory to most humans, then there must be a reason behind this. reasons which we cannot understand. which causes more pain, god or satan? if these beings exist, then satan should give you more earthly pleasures. and god's guidelines would indeed cause you torment. that is, if you do not live the holy life. i find nothing wrong with the bible's teachings. it is true that god through his prophet forbade his people to eat shrimp.but it's early history. there's no refrigeration system yet. shrimps were indeed unhealthy to eat in those times because they carry water-borne diseases.

Exactly which commandments has God broken, and where in the Bible does it say prove me wrong and you'll be proving me right? The bible is of God not of Satan, and the bible is no game. I hope someday you realize the truth. May God Bless you.

God's laws are for His creation to follow.

Miracles are God doing His will outside of the laws he has laid down for His creation.

Parents set rules for their children that they never think to follow, like holding a grownup's hand while crossing the street.

God is infinitely farther above adults than adults are above children.

God's talk to Job in Job 38 describes this very nicely:

Where were you when I founded the earth?
Tell me, if you have understanding.

Who determined its size; do you know?
Who stretched out the measuring line for it?

Into what were its pedestals sunk,
and who laid the cornerstone,

While the morning stars sang in chorus
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

And who shut within doors the sea,
when it burst forth from the womb;

When I made the clouds its garment
and thick darkness its swaddling bands?

When I set limits for it
and fastened the bar of its door,

And said: Thus far shall you come but no farther,
and here shall your proud waves be stilled!

With love in Christ.

I have to answer this, because I feel some ppl may have given up on you with their answers. I am not saying mine will be perfect or right, but if I am to be God's Hands and Feet on this Earth, well then I take the job wholeheartedly with love.
Now- can I say, "WOW" to the whole question?! =-) Seriously though... let's go through the message. Are you talking about God letting/allowing people to die and be hurt as counting towards breaking His comandment, saying He is "killing them"? God does allow bad things to happen to us, but never will want to HURT us. I know this is not making sense, but I am trying.
Christ (Lord and Savior, Almighty King) never sinned. Can you maybe explain this part>?
I do not question the Bible to believe in it, I believe in it because I trust in my Lord. If you question it, it shows you lack faith, which we ALL do sometimes. We are FLESH and HUMAN and all make mistakes....
The penalty of hell is only for those who do not accept the Lord Jesus Christ as the Savior. It says in the Bible the only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ.
Any baffoon can understand the Bible and NOT accept Jesus- that does not secure them a place in Heaven by any means. It just means they can read.
*I* cannot walk away from the Bible **NOW** becasue Jesus did not walk away from me. *I* pushed Him away, yelled, screamed, told Him life was unfair etc... yet He walked with me through hellish life every step of the way (sons brain cancer age 10 and many other things).... and held out His hand when I was too weak to go on myself. *I* am NOT perfect..... HE IS. I love my Lord. I hope you get to know Him as well- He is waiting for you....
The HOLY Bible is of God- who knows what others have written out there... I am sure false bibles (NOT a capital letter "b") have been made in others names. I fear for their souls....
Who causes more pain? US- we do..... we are our worst enemies and when we are weak, the devil will come in and steal every hope and dream you have and make you be filled with madness and blame. So you ask...... who caused the most pain in my life? Me<~ trying to be the ruler of it instead of giving it to the One who loves me so much he died for me....

I really hope this helped.... I will not give up on you- crazy questions or not.... Thank you for the chance to share my Faith and love. ><>

According to christian mythology, god is the one who determines right and wrong.

Therefore, god's behavior can never be wrong, unless he wants it to be wrong - which he doesn't.

Because god determines right and wrong, he can suspend his own rules for himself or for people, or he can change them at a whim. He decides what is right and what is wrong, and therefore he is not wrong in doing this.

Of course, that's total nonsense. In reality, such a thing is absurd. But that's the actual answer to your question.

Oh, and there is a solution to your "bible game" conundrum: the bible is objectively wrong. That's all there is to it; whether or not the bible claims otherwise is irrelevent.

I don't totally get the question but I'll give it a stab.

Don't parents give their kids rules that the parents don't follow? Like don't cross the street, don't drive my car, don't drink alcohol.

Most of the rules in the bible are necessary because we are sinful and imperfect.

The devil talks in contradictions and twistings...no clear thoughts or understanding in your above question.

God has never broken one of His commandments.

You're offending my sensibilities and f#cking up my Internet experience, Slick. Don't you intellectuals have a mutual admiration society, or something, where can hang out and tell each other how smart you are?

First of all, Bible is capitalized. Hope you remember that.

Secondly, your question is difficult to understand. What do you mean the Bible is a game?

I read your question several times, and I have concluded answering it would be a waste of my time.

Ask a clergyman. Ask a priest. Ask a rabbi. Maybe they can answer your question.
