I currently do about 40 minutes of exercise a day and are really happy with the results.
I have two weeks off work and was wondering if I trained at the gym for 2 hours per day would I see great results?

Just look at professional athletes and see all the problems they deal with for stress on their body. Should talk to trainer or someone to make sure you don't develope problems later in life.

Overtraining is bad. When you exercise you cause tiny tears in the muscle that heal while resting. If you exercise too much your muscles can't totally recover.

Whether 2 hours a day is overtraining depends on what you do.

i know this...i am now in my 6th wk of "over-training"....that being...1 hr or more of high intensity, low weight,15 -20 sec rest intervals working on 3 muscle's per visit 3 days a wk.....and i'm 44....i also have a very physically demanding job....true ecto-morph might i add...and i have never felt better....not too sure how much size i have added yet....but, i am getting plenty stronger, and my stamina is starting to get rediculous.....lol..btw...i had been doing "regular" weight-training for 2 yrs prior to this "over-training" shift...i was stuck @ 170 lbs, and wanted to try something different.......hope this helps...

Yes, it works for seasoned bodybuilders, but if you are a teenager you should NOT over-do it to work out with heavy weights. High reps is good for anybody, though.
