The Bible is my life manual. I leave judging to my Lord. I talk to Him a lot, and I study His love letters to me.

We are taught what is right and wrong from the time we are born. We are also ingrained with a conscience. However, if there was noone there to tell you this is wrong, then it's hard for us to realize it is wrong if there are no ill effect. This is what has been happening in many societies as the children are being raised not fully understanding right and wrong. Oh they might know some basic things, but they might not have the full knowledge down. They have not been taught to empathize with others when they are in pain. They have not been taught to learn from others when they do wrong. Instead alot of youth is only learning, others have hurt me and I feel my pain is more important than anothers pain. They were deliberatly trying to hurt me and they feel vengeful against the world. All of our experiences come together to help us learn. And for some children who do not have the bible or anything compatable that can help guide them, they might get lost.
We choose between good and evil based on our beliefs of what is good and what is evil. Those things may seem black and white for most but there is a huge gray area. It's all dependent on our perception of life.

Actually it's a very good question so I'm not sure what crawled up the first guys azz. The question is how do you know what is moral or how do you live a moral life? Only someone who has been spoon fed some platitudes would consider that a 'stupid' question. Yes a 'conscience' is important, but reason is usually better and can be used on all your actions not just the ones that make you 'feel' something. Using reason and compassion to analyse the effects of your actions will keep you from being blown around by your emotions or having to rely on rules that may not match your humanity.

If you are a true Christian then the Holy Spirit will let you know when you are not doing what is right. To choose between good and evil...choose God and you will have chosen good.

Ask your conscience. Before embarking on a task, if you feel troubled at heart in proceeding with the task in hand, do not do it. Besides, the touch stone for distinguishing good from evil, is to consider the act from the point of the consequences that it will entail. If it will entail the maximum good to the maximum of the people, with the least amount of inconvenience to others, that is a good act. The means of achieving the good also need to be ethically correct.

The Bible is full of real-life stories about people who chose to act according to God's will and those who chose to go against it. Also, the principles that are outlined in the 10 commandments and the accompanying laws give us some insight into what is right and wrong according to God. He is the absolute authority because he created us.

You have to guess what the wise course of action is.
Frequently, you will be pressured to make a decision before you have time to weigh everything and make a reasoned, calm decision.
So, my answer is to pursue wisdom -- if you are on that path, it is more likely that you will avoid evil.

As a baby your parents teach you what's right and wrong. When you go to school...teacher's and seniors teach you the social behaviour. When you grown older you are your own guide. When a kid makes a mistake others forgive saying-"after all he is a kid". The mistakes of elder ones are not pardoned that easily. That's why when you are older you've to be your own guide.
At those times the values inherited by you from your family and society are your leading light, and at the same time you've to be doubly cautious 'coz your mistakes are not pardoned...rather you are punished for them.

I do not know exactly if this is what you are expecting..when you have a right path and wrong path choose the right path..that is when u know this is right and this is wrong then u can very well choose the right path and have full faith in whatever u are doing..
just cling to whatever is right no matter what happens..
