Have you ever watched it yourself? Besides being incredibly shallow with its focus on looks, clothes and boys, I turned on the TV one morning and it was on. There were two of the girls abducted by a brawny bad man who was out to steal the jewelry off of the evil barbie twins' mother and he left them tied up in a cave with a crossbow pointed at them. One of them said here's how we'll get loose, we'll struggle and set off the device and the arrow will strike the medallion I'm wearing around my neck and the medallion will stop the arrow from killing me and then we can get loose from these ropes. The other one said oh, no, but went along with it.

First thing that is not the twins mom, they are the interns of her magazine. I watch the show with my daughter every saturday, and yes, she asks questions and I answer them. Is great because it helps her be comfortable enough to ask me questions that in normal conversations she wouldn't dare. I like them a lot and we enjoy them together.

No and there is no way she is getting the dolls either. The baby Bratz dolls are just as bad. They are showing the girls in sexually explicit clothes. Barbie at least is supposed to be a grown up figure; these are just little girl characters.

Our girls watch very little TV. Mostly they watch Mythbusters, Startrek reruns, and Dr. Who. We only want them watching shows which lead to discussions about science or society's expectations. TV can be a tool, not a crutch. We go days at a time without TV and no complaints. It's just not the focus of our lives.

I have a 6 year old daughter, and I dont allow to watch bratz. I don't even let her buy anything (toys, clothes, markers, books, crayons, etc)with bratz on it. I refuse to allow my daughter to give in to the crap of dressing like a sl_ut. The girls wear too much make-up and dress like they are 21. My daughter is 6 and that is the way she will dress.

Luckily, my daughter isn't interested in watching the show, but does love the dolls. All little girls love dolls and fashion at that age, no big deal.
I think we are too sensitive as parents these days.

my little girl loves the dolls and when she sees a commercial on the TV advertising one of them she says she has to have it. But I draw the line with watching the cartoon. The dolls look like little tramps anyway,

NO. Absolutely not. I have a 9 year old daughter whose father lets and encourages her to watch shows like this. So, she is exposed to it. However, I think it is very imortant for her to know that it is not allowed in my house. It's those firm boundaries they will fall back on when they are older.

I only have a 2 year old, but I have already informed her that she will never watch it. I don't have to watch it to know that I don't want her to. You have just confirmed all my ideas of what it probably is like.
