I work at the airport and I was at work this morning when this was all happening and I saw it. I got very rude responses from people who didn't believe me and said that I was making these things up. I just wanted to say..."Now What?!?!" Everyone knows about it now. Sometimes when you are at the airport, you find out information before the news gets a hold of it. All I was doing was giving a heads up to people traveling today and letting them know to get to the airport early to avoid delays at the ticket counter and security. I thought it was nice of me, If I was a passenger I would have appriciated the information so I could re-pack my carry-on prior to getting to the airport. Does anyone think this was wrong of me? To be nice to passengers and save them from repacking all of their luggage at the airport? Should I have gotten such rude reactions from people?

Tell these rude jerks just to drive the next time and they can bring whatever they want.

People love TV news and they don't accept any info from persons they don't know, unless it's on TV. Some live for it, even if it's a lie, they trust the TV, it's like a drog or something. They washed our brains with information given on TV, that we think we cannot live without it (and maybe we don't anymore).
So it was not your fault, that's the society...they didn't believe you not because you weren't convincing, but because you weren't the TV.
Next time, just let the things flow, follow their own course...security is too important for all of us, and we are very carefull on what to believe or not and who gives the information to us.
I work in an airport also, and I know what I'm talking about, people don't give a damn about what we say, unless it's written somewhere.

Thanks for sharing. American's are real defensive now because it is now clear that our troops in the Middle East and particularly Iraq are dying for a mistake. If you read the new book, FIASCO, the truth is now out about what the Bush Administration knew and when they know it.
The fact is that the evidence is convinces that the Government of the United States went to War with Iraq on false information, and they knew it or should have known it.
In the words of Dick Cheney when he stated that "there is no doubt" that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, WMD on Aug. 26th 2003. Others in the US Government, knew this was not true. Some spoke out, but to many did not listen.

Thanks for the post.

How many people here are going to the airport? Did you think you should get a reward for scooping the newspaper?

If people are rude, ignore them!

I guess they found out when they saw the news or better yet when they got to the airport. You tried to be nice but there are just alot of cynical people out there. I was'nt flying but I think it was very thoughtful of you to try to give people a heads up. Thanks.

No! You were right. This is very important information. Some people take this as a joke and its not! People should start taking this more seriously. Just think, I bet a lot of people wish they had listen to your info!

You were doing a nice thing, and apparently a bunch of people decided to be assholes about it. Don't let that discourage you in the future, there are some people who appreciate the good things you do.

You did a good thing, but the world is full of disrespectful people. Keep up the good attitude, maybe some of it will rub off on those disrespectful people.

I'll bet they believe you now! I would think that working at the airport you'd know how people are.. they are nasty and mean (most of them). Next time, keep it to yourself...
