Well that is okay with me, as long the two of them knows thier limititaions...The older guys should do the precautionary actions to make sure that there is no bad things will happen to both of them... Age for me is a state of mind, a figure that wont really affect on any reltiuonships. What matters to me is that you have respect, trust, and you are confident to each other...

Not good.. a 17 year old is still young enough to be naive and a 24 year old with a 17 year old is just taking advantage of her. He should know better and what could a 24 year old have in common with a 17 year old? If he truly loved her he would at least wait until she is 19. Besides there are waaay to many things that can happen in a situation like this that you don't realize until it is to late. Lifelong things that don't go away.

Not a problem as soon as the 17 turns into an 18 year old.

Well, there's good news and bad news for your, er, your friend's unique situation. The good news, they're only 7 years apart, so it doesn't seem so bad. Bad news: that's really only a good thing when she's 18 and he's 25. Have these persons heard of statutory rape (assuming that this relationship has gotten to a sexual level)? Ol' boy...geez, the 17 yr old is going to get him 25, ya know what I mean? Conversely, I guess it's borderline, especially if she's closer to 18. But, this is still a bad predicament that has the possibility to blow-up in their faces.

i don't think that age really matters as long as there is love. i think that its ok for a 24 year old guy to go out with a 17 year old girl as long as they really love each other. i think that they should be more careful though so that they won't get into trouble. the girl should also be more careful to make sure that the guy doesn't take advantage of her.

Something is seriously wrong with a 24 year old 'man' who is interested in an under aged girl.

It's not a real problem, unless they start having sex, then it becomes a big one. That would be Statutory Rape.
Seventeen is close to the legal age, but it isn't there, and the law, doesn't care, even if it's a week before her 18th birthday.
But as long as they keep it on the up and up, and no hanky panky, then it will be fine.
But its a dangerous road to travel. If she is close to 18, she should wait, for that birthday.
