If she was really your friend she would not place stipulations on your friendship. What you need to do is tell her to grow some balls, and handle her own business and not to get you involved. You can't fight all of her battles for her. At some point she is going to have to grow up, and I think now is a good of time as any. If I were you, I would be mad at her for putting you in a situation like this!!!!
Don't do it!!! If you lose her as a friend she wasn't your friend to begin with.

So she wants you to fight her battles? She is wrong for putting you under this pressure and you should tell her so. If you don't and she no longer wants to be your friend then she never was a true friend only using you and I would tell her so. Phony friends are a dime a dozen but true friends would never desert or abandon you!

if she is truly your friend she wouldn't make you do that. If she wants to tell someone off she should do it herself. If that was my friend she and I would be fighting. Friends shouldn't make friends do that kind of thing if they have a beef with someone they should deal with it in person. I have a feeling she is unsure of what shes thinking give her a couple days to figure it out. only do what your heart tells you to, and what you can deal with.

A true friend doesn't make you do something or else. Help your friend. If any friend of yours ever makes you do something for your friendship, just tell the person a true friend doesn't make you do something for their friendship and walk away.

if you are going to lose a friend over a silly arguement between friends (that may or may not even involve you) then
a)they were never really your real friend to beguin with
and
b)you need to get new friends- those ones aren't worth keeping.
