TRUE. Because religion is a set of rules that everybody cannot conform with due to differences of beliefs, preferences and opinions.

Well let me ask you, just sort of a hypothetical question. Let's say, just for arguments sake, that Jesus was telling the truth when He said in the bible that He was the only way. Let's just suppose there is no other way to heaven than by faith in Jesus Christ.
Secondly, let's suppose that you know this to be true. Now comes along all these different beliefs trying to tell people that oh, no...no, you don't need Jesus. You can believe anything you like. And you know this is a lie. You know that if people don't turn to Jesus, they will go to hell when they die.
Now...would you not care if others followed after false "gods" and false "religions" and go to hell? Of course you wouldn't.
That being said, I don't run around telling people they are going to hell. But I do believe there is one way only to the Father, and that is by the son. I will never "agree" that there is any other way. I can't. It is too important.

Because there's no proving faith...so there are a lot of different versions of religious truth! Also, the idea of religion as "sacred" makes a lot of people uptight about anyone who doesn't agree. Not to mention, I guess the purpose of life is a topic that everyone is always going to feel pretty strongly about.

Religion is not difficult to agree on. It is the people who interpret it the way they want it and their deliberate way of expressing it -misleading religious principles and practices that has become so difficult to accept and live with.

The problem with faith is that without empirical evidence, everyones viewpoint is equally valid. And they automatically reject empirical evidence as no different to other faiths with which they have doctrinal issues. This is why it is hard to have a completly logical and rational argument with a believer of any sort. At some point, faith has to divert from reason.

Because ppl always want to point out the "mistakes" of certain religions
The best thing to do is follow the religion that has the minimum amount of "mistakes" in its ideology

Because Religion is politicised spirituality. It is a political term for organised spirituality and therefore is man made. God worship is easy to agree on.

everyone is different, and that's a beautiful thing but that's the reason and it's good that everyon doesn't agree on the same religion, otherwise we sould never really learn

wow--at the risk of offending everyone who reads this: its because the world is a battlefield btw good and evil. this battle happens in the heart of every person who is trying to choose betweeen doing what they desire (get rich/have sex) and doing what God desires (put others first/forgive)....and why is it so difficult to agree on? because life and death are at stake .....
