It's 11:00pm and I still have 1 hour to go at work. I have tried chewing on a clove and it's not helping. Does anybody know of a home remidy that will help? It hurts REALLY BAD.

You're going to have to go to the dentist, it's probably a cavity or an absess...in the meantime, try taking extra strength tylenol or motrin. Try to stay away from very cold drinks, and sugar, it will make it worse. You could try rinsing with warm water and salt to clean the area.

Be careful doing the aspirin thing. It will burn your tissue. I never recommend a patient do that. Advil, Motrin, or Tylenol are all your best bet. I am not an advicate of the whole clove thing myself, and obviously you are proof that it isnt that great a home remidy. I with that there was some great cure all I could tell you, but there just really isnt. If you have an infection you are probably going to need antibiotics.

First you should go to a doctor who will prescribe an antibiotic so the infection that you probably have will stop, or for an instant pain relieve, crush an aspirin and put it over the hurting teeth or a clove like the ones you use to cook. That will work but only temporary, go see a doctor.

I've put a wet teabag in my mouth and bit down gently over the tooth. The tanic acid in the tea helps for awhile. Good luck

Chew on an orange. The acid in the orange will help to kill the infection, which is why you are hurting.

You could find some spray, or gels at your local drug store, but the orange works better, I thought.

Good luck

Do regular brushing, and washing the mouth after each meal and before going to bed. This shall be helpful in long run.
